  1. Already beaten 3 in the betfred cup, Robinson not the sort of manager that will allow us to take our eye off the ball against lesser opposition
  2. I thought he was decent, put in a lot of good tackles, similar in nature to Campbell and nearly scored with a shot from outside the box that Lewis parried away, he eventually came off for Campbell with 20 mins to go, we dominated the midfield today which I think is imperative against a team like Aberdeen.
  3. Hastie is only on loan so will be back at the club at some point, I think he's under contract till 2019
  4. Frear for me, whipped in some superb crosses and roasted the right back all night.
  5. Kipre had food poisoning overnight before the game and had actually asked to come off after 5 mins but Robbo made him play on, he admitted after the game they took a massive gamble playing him when he wasn't 100%. Always great to beat those moaning faced zombies especially in a game of that magnitude, Thought the likes of Dunne, Hartley, Tait, Moult and Carson were outstanding yesterday, that 2nd goal goal is now my favourite ever goal to overtake the one Faddy scored in France.
  6. All the better to improve an already thriving and vibrant youth set up especially you see the sterling work Stephen Craigan has done with the under 20s over the last 2 and a bit years. Guess Scott Leitch should get a bit of praise given he is the academy director so oversees all levels from under 17s right down.
  7. Pedro the h*n just fired all the pressure on themselves for next sunday by saying its their biggest game of the season! That works for me, we usually do our best work when written off!! Would love to pap them out and make them look stupid.
  8. Robbo has done his homework on accies, I'm very confident of a win this afternoon, accies havent beat us for over 2 years now and i believe that will continue again today. Comfortable 3-0 win for us today to set us up nicely for the semi final
  9. Fully merits the new deal, the transformation of the team compared to last year has been terrific, although its still early in the season still plenty to be very positive about for the coming weeks and months ahead. Robinson comitting his future could also entice other players to stay longer as well.
  10. Can't say im shocked at McCulloch's sacking, his signings have been dreadful and 0 wins in 8 is certainly relegation form. They've obviously looked at County bringing Coyle in and getting a win as a manner of them making this decision and hoping the same happens for them. Hope they give it to McGhee so he takes them down.
  11. Thought big Kipre had by far his best game yet in a Motherwell jersey and will only get better, especially having the experience of Hartley next to him who has also been tremendous, if there's any way to get permanently then we must go for it. Partick didnt get one single shot on target today which shows either how shite they were or as i like to put it how good we were today.
  12. Thing for me is the starting 11 over recent games has been our strongest has laid down a marker to those trying to get in, i think we may see a couple changes 2-3 at the very most and its up to those who may come in to see if they produce the level we did last night. Likes of Rose came on with an ice pack on his hamstring at full time, i could see him being saved for Partick next weekend.
  13. I read stat during the weekend that it took us until the 29th of October last season to reach double figures for points in the league, that goes to show so far the improvement we've made in the league, albeit still very early but these early points on the table will be valuble come the end of the season.
  14. Im fairly optimistic we can cause a shock, I take heart from the fact Aberdeen have failed to beat Hearts and Killie in their 2 games both teams we have beaten at Fir Park recently. I believe we are capable of beating anyone at Fir Park on our day and hopefully Thursday we can show people we arent going to be the same soft touch we were last season.
  15. That is also a possibility but they are definitely keen to play on grass for as long as is possible with weather permitting, certainly December/January time we may play at Airdrie depending on how the weather is.
  16. No Partick play their home games at Airdrie this season for the 20s, this is deemed an away game for us, we are spending the season at Stirling for home games.
  17. I believe he will be playing tonight for the under 20s so we should start seeing him involved in squads fairly soon.
  18. I'm confident we can go to hibs this weekend and get a result. If hamilton can go there and win then we definitely can. Robbo is a manager i've rated from the day he got the job, the early signs are very promising with the squad he's built for us. as was said in his interview it's been a good start but nobody is getting carried away as it's still early days with a new squad. Who knows what we may achieve this season, one thing i'm certain about and that is we wont be in any relegation trouble this season.
  19. I saw him training with the under 20s yesterday morning, he looks decent with both feet and has a decent cross on him, i think once we receive his paperwork through, he will probably get a couple games with the 20s to work on his match sharpness, hopefully sooner rather than later he may appear in the squad.
  20. He's not injured, apparently there's been a delay in receiving his clearance to enable him to play for us just now.
  21. Be surprised if its true about Leitch, no mention of it on their twitter page or website, he signed a two year deal with option of a third year, if he's going id have said it would be a loan move for him.
  22. Flow said we may make one more signing before the deadline but possibly more depending on any departures. Noted in one of the papers this afternoon that apparently Birmingham are going to make an offer of around 300k for Heneghan.
  23. It's definitely the most competitive squad we've had for a while and when you consider we also had guys such as Hammell, Gordon, McMillan etc not in the squad it shows the level of competition we have there now and it can only be a good thing as far as im concerned.
  24. Certainly i had heard rumours they'd be lucky to see the season out but who knows. I do think the boys will train with us for the most part but it could be they are getting a couple weeks at Airdrie to settle and help them gel into the team. As it's development loans for Watt and Hastie we could still use them for the under 20s as well.
  25. Airdrie are indeed full time and from the couple times i watched training during the week, Hastie, Watt and Rohan Ferguson werent there so must be training with them at the moment.
