  1. According to Devlin in the Sun and a twat called McDermott in the Record, our pitch was a sodden, death trap and the poor stmidden players were lucky to finish the game with their lifes. Our pitch caused the poor wee soles to slip and concede a goal and then a penalty. Funny that Humph didnt have much trouble keeping his feet before firing us infront. fuckin arseholes.
  2. Just got a text back from Robertson , apparently our win was well deserved and the better team won by a country mile. good stuff.
  3. Just texted wee Robertson, dont think he is talking to me.
  4. AND IT IS HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

    Main Stand

I always thought that having seen what I suspect was the same photo, that the old or alteast an older stand was part of the current structure.
  7. Absofuckinlutely. I have hated the specky bastard since then. I had this conversation with John Robertson, I told him that that Hearts team were the dirtiest team I have ever seen. He said that they used to come to Fir Park expecting a blood bath.
  8. I have seen that in several teams, the wee man is coached during training always to pass the ball out from the back, a high clearance or lumping it over midfield results in a penalty to the other team in training. As a result the teams passing has improved incredibly in the past year, some other teams coaches set their team out to both attack and defend using the high ball, which teaches the kids nothing. Rules have been changed this year for the sevens to include an exclusion zone around the area for shots at goal, maybe similar rule changes would improve the standards for passing and ball control.
  9. My 9 year old son plays sevens at the moment and although he has progressed well in the past year, I think his team are more than ready for 11's. The main probelm they have however is the lack of decent pitches both for training and playing their games. He plays for Cleland 2001's and they play in the Monklands soccer sevens, last year most of the teams played their games at Coatbridge outdoors. This year their are more teams many of the clubs have had to find alternative pitches to play home games. This has forced Cleland to play their home games on the corn parks in Cleland, which to be honest are ok at the moment, but as soon as winter comes they will pretty much be unplayable. There is not enough 3G pitches in Lanarkshire and the council are quoting £100K to builld a new complex, money which has to be raised by private finance which the council will reimburse over a long period. This at the time where thay have just completed the Ravenscraig facility which for most clubs is far to expensive to train on let alone play every week.
  10. Mate I know it all about opinions and you are 100% entitled to yours, but he isn't even a footballer. Looked not bad at St Midden but since moving to wankgers he has been a bombscare. No idea what Smith sees in him. He is dire and following your logic Bob Malcolm must have been a player, (I know we signed him too but that doesn't make him any better). Never mind dreaming of him playing for us, that would be a nightmare.
  11. If we had accepted the bid from Wankgers last year, would you be saying that he should be playing for Scotland ? The only reason he is not playing for them now is that we rejected their bid, nothing to do with his ability.
  12. No just dont assume that every player under the sun is better than him.
  13. Christophe Berra (Wolves) Yes Kirk Broadfoot (Rangers) are you having a laugh? Alan Hutton (Tottenham Hotspur) No but different position. Jay McEveley (Barnsley) Have no clue about him. Stephen McManus (Middlesbrough) Ask Celtic fans Kevin McNaughton (Cardiff City) Yes David Weir (Rangers) Yes Steven Whittaker (Rangers) Yes
  14. Dont agree with atleast some of that. Reynolds is as atleast as good as Weir (albeit he is in his 40's) and Weir has the disadvantage while playing for Scotland that Bougherra isn't playing along side him. Also International Referees wont allow him to make up for his lack of pace by constantly dragging back attacking opponents, like he gets away with evey week in Scotland. Our International team should bite the bullet and start playing the younger players like Reynolds now, even if we dont qualify for the nexst tournament or 2, we will be no worse off than we are now and it will give us a chance to establish a younger stronger team for the future.
  15. If thats true and Faddy is carrying an injury surely he shouldn't even be on the bench. Don't think Birmingham would be to happy.
  16. I listen to Talk Sport on the way home and even Adrian Durham was talking about it last night, he can't understand why Reynolds is not being picked before Weir. Its embarassing that the national team apparently has to rely upon a 40 odd year old rather than pick a capable younger player. Levein hasn't got a clue. Proved that beyond doubt dropping Faddy for fuckin Naismith. Oh and Reynolds is good enough. Why do some of our fans have this inferiority complex about our players, no other fans I know slate their own players as much. If Reynolds was playing for Rangers which he could have been last year, he would be an automatic pick for Scotland.
  17. Seems to be that the kids today are finding football again, my boy plays for his boys club on a saturday, trains on a wednesday and the rest of the week after school, football in the park with his mates. He always has a ball at his feet, even the xbox has been getting ignored. Long may it continue.
  18. Mediocre Old scum players are easier to pick than good provincial players. I was willing to give Levien a chance however he has proved that he is just the latest in a long line of Managers who pander to the scum rather than pick a deserving provincial club player. Only in Leviens case he has also capped undeserving players from his previous club such as Kenneth ffs. It amazes me how as soon as players leave clubs like Motherwell as has been proved over the years, they mysteriously immediately become good enough to be capped.
  19. Quite happy now. Cheers.
  20. The point is that previously we have had 2 or 3 players who would chip in 10 - 15 goals a season. We now seemingly have only one stiker type in Murphy. Unless as I say Blackman and Casagolda are good enough to fill the gap.
  21. Having read the last few pages of the thread I'm really depressed now. So much so that I just called the Samaritans and the told me to GTF because I was depressing him. How can we have gone from the highs of European football and being on the brink of the group stages of the Europa League to this only a matter of days later. Ideally we should have signed atleast one player to improve our squad, a left winger or a Tommy Coyne type striker would have been magic. Maybe Craig reckons we already have the players for these roles in the squad. Murphy is good but he is not a 20 - 30 goals a season striker, Sutton doesn't really play as a striker anymore, maybe Casagolda can become the player we need or maybe Blackman is the man. Maybe one of the younger guys can step up. Bloody hope so or it could be a long season.
