  1. Yes a big "WELL DONE" to the academy team who had a great season, lots of younger players who should be proud of their achievements this season, finishing a creditable 3rd in the league and runners up in the league cup.
  2. Cheers Gazza lots of hard work throughout the club is all worth it when you end a season with a shed load of trophies
  3. Girls are affiliated to the club and pay a monthly subscription to the club in the same way as the boys community teams.
  4. Results of Todays League Cup Finals at Toryglen.Motherwell Girls u13s 7 Motherwell Academy 0. u15s Falkirk 1 Motherwell 2. .Well done to all concerned.Added to the 13s.15s and 17s League Titles its been a great season for the girls.
  5. We were told we would get space on the Community page on website and in programme but it hasnt happened. Its a shame because we have a lot of girls playing who are Motherwell fans and season ticket holders,we are one of the top Girls teams in the country and yet we struggle for recognition from the club when we are successfull. In recent times both Celtic and Rangers have allowed their girls teams to parade trophys etc, shame we cant do the same.
  6. Update on girls teams. The girls are now in the last few weeks of season 2009(March to Nov). This weekend the 17s(League Winners) had to play 2 games in 3 days to catch up on League cup fixtures. On Friday they beat Celtic 4-2 at Glasgow Green and yesterday they lost 2-1 to League runners up Rangers. The u13s,u13s Academy and the u15s are all looking forward to next Sunday at Toryglen where they will play in the League Cup finals. A great season for the club as the 13s,15s and 17s have all won their respective leagues,17s finishing above Rangers and Celtic with one game still to play.Well done to all players and coaches involved.
  7. 1976 Semi Final v Rangers, having beat Celtic in 3rd round, survived 2 replays v Hibs and then to get cheated at that stage was just too much to take, tears were tripping me all the way home on the bus, then went into chippy in Wishaw only to be met by Gers fans all giving it "youse were the best team hen"
  8. Apart from the goals in the 1991 Cup Final, which are still being celebrated even now All 3 goals in the 1976 Scottish Cup game v Celtic,2-0 down at half time only to score 3 in the 2nd half, first time Celtic had been put out in the 3rd round if I remember right and oh the joy of going to school(St Aidans High) on the Monday.
  9. So right Derek, wee Amy was superb today and you would have needed a surgeon to remove the big cheesey grins on our faces ,
  10. Motherwell girls u15s also won today beating Airdrie Utd 10-1 in the league cup, this result means the 15s will play Falkirk in the final at Toryglen on the 15th Nov.Lee,Emily is doing great at Arsenal, has played a few games for the reserves and scored her first goal, onwards and upwards !!!!
  11. Well done to Motherwell Girls u13s who beat Celtic an astonishing 11 nil this morning, sent them homeward tae think again !!!! Motherwell are League Winners of the Central Region and Celtic won the West League so a great result for the girls.

  14. Girls u15s secured a 2 nil victory over 2nd placed Falkirk at King George V Wishaw on Saturday morning, this result means that Motherwell need 1 point from their last 2 games to join the u13s as League winners 2009.(Summer season being played from March to Nov). The league Cup competition will start soon with the Final being played on Nov 15th)
