  1. I'm certain that McBride was statistically the second best midfielder in the Spl the season he was on loan, 04-05 I think, behind Alan Thompson.
  2. On the subject of Juke. My understanding was that Everton wanted more than we could offer.
  3. Baxter is already a fan favourite on the Everton boards.
  4. Just because its Euro shirts I think. Only needs numbers. Was the same last season I'm sure. I expect Hateley to be Dropped for the away leg. In the short time Saunders was on he looked more assured in defence and provided a greater threat in attack, thought he had bagged us a second goal. Jennings was off the pace aswell, lost his man in the middle of the park far too many times. Always tried to be the spare man when it wasn't possible. Made a good recovery tackle near the end though. Lasley looked far superior next to him. Humphrey is almost there. If his crosses had been put in at the penalty spot and not the 6 yard box it would have been more than 1-0. He should look to cut inside more often though when he has pace to burn. Forbes was 2 players today. 1 could land the ball on a tuppence and the other couldn't pass to his own team mate, thankfully it was the former more often than not. However, The boy is just plain slow. He's definitley not lazy, was always getting back and cover as well as wanting the ball. Put in a few outstanding crosses, one inparticular should have been smashed in by Murphy. Murphy wasn't sharp at all. Should have scored. Sutton was the same, won a good few headers though. Gary Smith looks like a taller, bulkier Murphy. Had great movement when he came on and was unlucky not to get on teh end of a few balls over the top.
  5. Hahahaha. Forbes was fantastic once he got into a rythmn tonight. It just showed when he went off that we had nothing else to give in terms of goalscoring opportunities. However, Motm for me was Hammell. Was solid, got a few good balls in, before Forbes went off, and bombed down the win a few times giving Forbes time to play. When Hateley moved into midfield he was useless and stifled Hammell's play. The bond that Hammell and Reynolds have rescued us a few times tonight, Reynolds when under pressure playing the blind pass to Hammell. Something thats not really been noted before, certainly by me. Saunders should also start inplace of Hateley I feel.
  6. Formation at the end of last season... ------------------Ruddy Hateley---Craigan---Reynolds---Hammell O'Brien---Jennings----Lasley-----SUTTON Jutkiewicz-------Murphy WHERE IS YOUR LONE STRIKER YOU TWAT! Swap Juke with McHugh and that's what we can expect the forward line to be this season.
  7. Get Gazapo tae fuck. Not usually so single minded on a player but the guy doesn't look like a player. The most effort he put in tonight was in conning the ref into two freekicks.
  8. Played in behind the strikers tonight and did well in the time he was on the pitch. Thought that he tried to do too much at times though, but then again, sometimes that comes off and you get the break. That's certainly what happened with his goal.
  9. There's also the option of playing Humphrey through the middle, Brown has already stated that this would be Humphrey's ideal position. However, I think that we'll play with McHugh and Sutton up top.
  10. Been saying we would get an Icelandic team for weeks now. Definitely won't be going.
  11. Naw, you're forgetting that saying someone isn't shite means they are the best.
  12. It doesn't stretch to the bottom, however there are slashes coming up from the bottom. My first home kit mock up is pretty much spot on, bar the neck. the gaps in the hoop aren't that bad.
  13. I'm sure its just a section thats cut out. Puma tend to do it, I can't fathom why. Kinda like the kit below, only the missing sections are on the bottom side of the hoop.
  14. Charalambous, Charalambous, He came from Cyprus on the back of a Bus.
  15. Aye, thought we'd signed a new player til I seen the photo.
  16. The kit isn't shown properly, I think, because Craigan has it tucked in. Top 1 I like the 'Real' away top too. Edit: The idea that the away kit is a tribute is nothing more than spin.
  17. You really are the single biggest moronic jizzrag to have taken a breath. I'm glad Paul Slane is your hero, I mean, you must asipre to have yer arse torn at Lennoxtown after the repeated molestation you must have suffered at Addiewell. The fact it was in the comfort of your 'ensuite shower' must only make you feel even more like a real man. Infact, the guys at Addiewell made you right hard. You'll be able to break into Lennoxtown to offer yourself on a silver platter.
  18. Awaits 'Lee Hollis get to fuck because you're not John Ruddy' thread...
  19. Fitzpatrick always looks much more mobile than Lasley and I felt he's played better in the few games he's had in front of the defence than he ever has playing out wide.
  20. If John Ruddy continued to be pish then there would be no reason why he should keep his place. I didn't tell a story. I stated that I saw some of the players at the cinema. I commented on how they were getting on, since it was all new players (outwith O'Brien). The gimp thing is a completely different story. Paul Slane said to a staff member in the club shop, who had asked him about me changing my name, that I was a gimp. I don't have an opinion on John Ruddy other than he had a good season where his brilliance at times was undermined with fuck-ups and the habbit of being lobbed. As I've stated before, I'm lucky not to own claret and amber tinted specs. John Ruddy conceded more against Celtic than Fraser did. There ye go. We had a better result against Celtic with Fraser in goal. "You can't handle the truth." No chance, you must have missed the 500 posts where I claimed Fraser was the best 'keeper of all time.
