  1. FFS. Well done Mods for doing your job. No one ever thanks you guys.
  2. Not if he continues his end of season form he isn't.
  3. http://www.steelmenonline.co.uk/forums/ind...st&p=197057 My first mock up wasn't a million miles away from that.
  4. Thought I saw the kit in the paper... turns out it was a dream. I'll mock up what I saw though.
  5. The Everton lads don't really see any future for Ruddy but think that Juke Box could get a chance during pre-season.
  6. But it's going to be a bespoke kit.
  7. I thought Suttons two against Hibs took him to 14 for the season.
  8. Sutton. Top scorer. Been consistant all season.
  9. You mis-interpret my point. Tactically, playing him in left mid has been a masterstroke recently. Granted, he wasn't great today. I actually think he was only playing on the left today to stifle Davis. However in the last handful of games when he has been shifted to the left we have had great success. Espescially with Murphy/Hammell getting on the end of his knockdowns. It's been great to have that extra dimension. I would rather he played up top too but it's been great to see him deployed in a different position and to do well. He's been more of a team player in that role and shown that he has so much more to his game. I mean, those are also the reasons listed in this thread.
  10. Ruddy: didn't really have much to do. Glad he misjudged Boyds close range effort, other wise I don't think it'd have deflected off of him. Dillydallied at the first goal which I didn't see til the highlights. - 6 Hateley: Wasn't great today. Defensively was very poor and even his passing, bar two great long range passes, wasn't up to scratch either. Could have done better at the second and thought he could have got a boot in at the third. - 5 Saunders: The boy is a bit of a schizo. He can be absolutely awesome and precise at times and at others he is utterly reckless. I thought he did the right thing at the first and third goals, Boyd fouled him for the first and he was unfortunate not to block Novo's attempt for the third. - 7 Craigan: Diabolical in the first half. While Boyd was fouling Saunders, Craigan could have taken the ball unchallanged but totally froze. Second half, albeit after a shaky start, was much improved. Once he had crunched Novo he was in total control. - 7 Hammell: My mind has actually gone blank of anything he did during the game other than walking up the park while in possession, no urgency. - 6 O'Brien: Though he was pish in the first half. Over exhuberance cost us possession far too many times. I counted atleast 4 occassions when there was a player, McGlinchey, in a great position or totally unmarked when O'Brien continued running or refused to play a pass. Does he not like the guy or something? Was much better in the second half when he actually played some simple passes. - 7 Jennings: Didn't get stuck in like I'd have liked. I actually get the impression that he is better suited to being an attacking midfielder as he likes to drive at players. Linked well with Coke in the middle. The goal typified his performance, bursting forward but never giving up. Great assist from Weir mind you. - 7 Coke: Drifted in and out of play. Was constantly looking to keep play moving and make space rather than running with the ball. Almost the polar opposite to Jennings style. Feel he may have been told to be cover for the defence today. - 6 Sutton: Didn't do as well in the air today but was never really given the opportunity to do so as we had a different approach to todays game. I do feel that he took Davis out of the game for long periods purely by close marking. - 6 McGlinchey: Never really did much but constantly got into good positions. Picked out a few good passes where O'Brien strayed offside. O'Brien plain refused to pass the ball to him which wasn't nice to see. - 5 Jutkiewicz: Had a thankless task at times. Our midfield were slow to get up and support which led to a lot of backwards play from Juke. Felt that he should have scored the 1 on 1. Was also lucky with the penalty. - 7 Murphy: Today he played as if he was playing for Scotland. Wish he could bring his national team form to the 'Well games more often. Good strike for the first goal. Don't think he dived or intended to win a penalty, he was instantly back up looking for the ball. - 6 Humphrey: Took a while to get involved after coming on. Played in a fantastic cross which Murphy should have buried. - 4 Forbes: Thank fuck he has a break now. The boy needs to recharge. -2
  11. If he didn't play in left mid we would be 2 points worse off at least.
  12. Hahaha, Everton would rather keep Jutkiewicz than Ruddy. Don't understand why people think we're more likely to get Juke Box.
  13. I would have said O'Brien, but the fact is, we played much better when he went off. Everyone else was equally good and bad in patches. Said Saunders, not because he was any better than anyone but at times he looked like the old head compared to Craigan.
  14. McGlinchey didn't do anything wrong today. The guy barely played 90 minutes all in for us. Think Humphrey showed when he came on that he has improved again. The cross from deep for Murphy was top notch. With more starts, which he'll get next year, he can go on to be a great player. Had a better start than O'brien did. A left winger is really what we need, I love Sutton playing there but we need that kind of diversity. Meechan will probably get a good chance in the middle during pre-season, unless he goes out on loan, and could become a first team player. Same goes for Page/Hutchinson although I think Hutchinson will fill in for Reynolds. I'm not sure what kind of players will come in but I wouldn't be surprised if Brown brought some loans in. If he goes to Everton looking... Jose Baxter please.
  15. Glad that this thread has appeared. Always liked Sutton as a player. Can remember in his first season, and on occasion this season, he was getting pelters at the games and on here. He's just an old school british style footballer who are few and far between now-a-days. Folk were slating the decision to play him at left mid a few games back but who's gonna argue with that now?
  16. It's trademark infringement. Same with the Puma logo. Think it may be taken down.
  17. Who? We got a replacement in already?
  18. They don't do the same kits that they did then. They've all got we fanny bits on them these days, barring the big teams/african nations.
  19. It's the airvent looking things that get more on my tits. Apparently the new top is not like the Stuttgart top...
  20. He's under 23 so we and Celtic will recieve a development fee.
  21. He was also great against Rangers in the 0-0 draw at home last season. He's always played well in that defensive midfield role. More for cutting up play than anything else. Hutchinson? Page?
