  1. Our financial status prohibits us from offering anything but one or two year deals. Other clubs are aware of this and will continually pick off our best players, leaving the management to replace with youth or loan signings. Last season was a sell to survive season again and don't see anything changing this year. The reality of following The 'Well.
  2. More likely to be a choked drain/ downpipe as there will be no pipework in the roof areas. At the end of the day there was nowhere for the amount of rain that fell last week to go. Drainage systems al over the land are failing and if the game had started we would have had a lottery. Not what we are looking for when we are playing so well
  3. I wouldn't normally stick it to a team when they are on their knees but Hearts have given us some shit over the years. I hope we can get a positive performance and some fringe players get involved. Looking forward to a good day out.
  4. Floodlights are on tonight - I guess they are taking precautions. Providing all are unscathed from yesterday we might line up the same. If Saints are struggling in midfield, Faddy might start behind the strikers. Confidence is high so looking forward to this one. Mon the Well

    St Johnstone

much improved performance and work rate from Vigurs which was beginning to worry me. Hopefully the goal will push him on.
  6. Here's the Macaroon Bars, The spearmint chewing gum.

Lots of candidates given the overall performance. Dan, Lionel' Big John,Hutchy.
  8. Is Hutchy due back? If he is I would put him in for Ramsden and leave the rest as it was. Ramsden had a nightmare start at Firhill, running about at their first corner not knowing who to pick up, and then a poor pass to set up the attack for thistles goal, and coming too deep to play them onside, leaving it too easy for the 2 passes leading to a goal. Saints are very capable up front and we cannot afford to be slack. Looking forward to a good passing game with a few goals a fair possibility. Mon the Well
  9. If he has been to Lanark Utd, what are you worried about? Won't be hearing anything new that the junior players don't spout.
  10. There's only one James McFadden. Despite the Referee trying to keep him out of the game he was in fine form. Carswell, Lasley and Wee Dan were also very good.
  11. This is typical of the way MFC treats the people who are the lifeblood of the club. I am a season ticket holder and fully paid up member of the Well Society I could go on about several things but the one I would like to put on record is that 6 months ago I registered to become an agent in Wellotto, and I thought I had a good chance of building up a fair "book" of customers in my agency. Part of the deal was that MFC would provide "agent cards" to be used to attract potential customers, which would provide details of how to contact Wellotto and also contain the agent reference to be quoted by new members. I have made contact via e-mail on several occasions and received responses stating the hold up was due to "the media guys are tied up with the European tie", " they are very busy with pre season", as well as various reponses saying it would be passed on or they are dealing with my enquiry. Not good enough for a club who must be under severe financial pressure at this time. If anyone is interested in joining Wellotto drop me a PM. Sorry I don't have any agent cards yet but will provide details as required.
  12. That was a punishing goal. Flood tried to be too cute and head out wide. Henri got the pass to perfection and Lionel finished well. Looks like we will need changes on Sunday as Hutch is suspended.

    St Mirren

The skipper just pips Sutton with plus marks to the full squad and management
  14. Its only Wednesday and forecast decent for Saturday. Not a great deal to consider in travel for away support so I reckon it should go ahead.
  15. 2 Interviews in The Sun today. 1 from Las and one from Kenny Black ( I suppose he had to come out of hiding at some point}
  16. Not a lot to say - except this is the worst performance and result in my near 50 years of watching Motherwell.
  17. Moore could have had an early hat trick
  18. Just seen this thread. I could have let him have his trademark polka dot top for the game.
  19. Time for S McC to earn his corn and get the team up for this one. no point in waiting to we are behind as this is not the young Hearts team we are playing. IMO he needs more width and more work rate from some of the team. I hope he sees this as a start for Anier and Sutton and gives them something to think about. Mon the Well.
  20. Lasley for me. Great Captains performance, with mentions for McManus and Hutchinson.
  21. Second handball looks stonewaller. Lifted his arm and tried to pull away - penalty. Lasley and Big Mac were very good, Ian Vigurs was very frustrating. We came back well after conceding a soft goal - writing was on the wall 2 mins earlier when Hearts broke down the left wing. Moore showed how to do it, and big Hutchy eventually got the break from one of our may corners. Good performance - great result.
  22. Making my International comeback tomorrow so hope Stevie gets a shout.
  23. Quick look at Blades forum and only mention appears to have him as seventh favourite with the bookies.
  24. All the best to him in an exciting new venture. We were never the same under 19's when he was taken off the coaching role.
  25. We need to keep cracking on so nothing to be afraid of. If Tom Hateley had scored with that penalty last season Ibeleive we would have won 3 times against them.
