  1. If we lose this, and make no mistake that is a distinct possibility, will we ditch Kettlewell?
  2. Agreed. It’s so obvious that we have no creativity from midfield and we’ve only got one recognised striker on the park. Honestly to say we’re poor is an understatement.
  3. We are so laboured in possession and the only football being played is by Alloa who are quite neat and tidy on the ball. I really fear for us here.
  4. In 15 competitive matches against Alloa we’ve won 11, drawn 3, lost 1 and scored 40 goals and conceded 11. Surely a home win? Ah but remember Albion Rovers!
  5. Celtic won’t be allowing Montgomery to come to us just to warm the bench and will be expecting him to play from the get go. As for where he fits into Kettlewell’s plans that’s anyone’s guess. Like a few others I’m not for taking Halliday. No harm to the guy but he’s been a journeyman his entire career and at 32 he’s at the fag end of it. If Slattery hadn’t gotten injured we’d not be showing an interest. For me, the fact Livi, Accies and Ayr are the “others club” reported to be interested, speaks volumes and we should pass.
  6. Just another bawheid in a long list of bawheids.
  7. That’s easy. You don’t. I think the statements made by the present Chairman and CEO in December, albeit rather clumsily, made the point the club was seeking additional investment. This raised the obvious question as to what the strategy would be to do so. In this respect it would be reasonable to expect that the club would have a written business plan or strategy document as to what their approach was going to be to attract such investment.
  8. As far as I can tell, there was nothing in the statement from the outgoing interim CE about other things being done. However if you have information or knowledge to the contrary please feel free to enlighten.
  9. December 2023 Outgoing Club Chairman statement: “We have undertaken a large amount of work and held numerous discussions - the final stages of a fund-raising initiative are almost complete and will be ready to be shared early in the new year.” So this is the outcome. FFS it would’ve been less embarrassing if they had announced they were going to have a series of bucket collections.
  10. When he was chairman of the SFA both he and the SFA were thought “overtly biased” toward the blue half of Glasgow. I find it amusing that people now consider the situation has changed so that the green half is now favoured.
  11. I’m guessing that you’ve never heard of Sir George Graham.
  12. Agreed and he’s been doing that in every game since he’s become a first team pick.
  13. As bad a run as we’ve been on (and it has been grim) it’s interesting to note we’re only 5 points behind Hibs - a city club with gates four times bigger than us and resources well above us.
  14. I’m not going to criticise Kettlewell for this as I don’t think now is the time to bring youngsters into the team when we’re struggling. Better to wait until we’re out of the relegation mire and then give them game time.
  15. Looks like Kettlewell set us up to sit-in deep hoping to hit on the break which is wee a bit surprising given Hibs home record this season which is no great shakes: P9 W3 D3 L3 GF11 GA9 And as they’ve shown so far they are very shaky when put under any pressure.
  16. We should remember that Theo Bair only turned 24 in August and this is only his 2nd full season in Scottish football. I believe if he gets a proper run in the team he could develop into quite a decent player. He also seems to be a good foil for Biereth. They’re both still young and raw but there is definitely something to work on with them.
  17. The ends justify the means. The 2nd half has been utter pish as all we’ve done when in possession is heave the ball up the park!
  18. Are we incapable of playing the ball on the ground? We’ve allowed ourselves to become sucked into playing the way Livingston like - aerial and physical and we’re being dominated.
  19. Livingston just can’t get to grips with Theo Bair’s running and movement. He’s come in for criticism, wrongly in my view, but when picked he always gives 100%.
  20. He’s had the tombola out and with no midfield it looks like he’s opted for hoofball to the front three. I really hope it works but I doubt it and If we lose surely the only question is will he be fired or will he resign.
  21. Hull City are reportedly ready to let their 21-year old former Brighton left-back James Furlong go out on loan in January with us and several League 1 and League 2 clubs interested.
  22. I posed the question but I'm firmly of the same view.
  23. Our home league record v Livingston as follows: P19 W12 D4 L3
