  1. First point i have no problem with familys at football or family sections whatever. so will kids only go if they are there with thier family? You can still attract a young support, a support for the future without pushing this family image in your face. Infact id say Motherwell attract the majority of thier young fan base through the school incentives cheap season tickets etc. This family idea isnt going increase the match day attendance maybe im a bit young but im sure theres alot more on parents minds than have to shell out a fortune on tickets, shirts strips etc. They are perhaps targeting a group of society who have the least disposable income, great business sense? The things that have gave football a base to build its fame on was the fans the crowd and the camaraderie. and i feel thats whats missing the most in scottish football. When you go to Fir Park or any game in scotland, what age group is in the majority? or to put it better what age group is in the minority? Too me it would be 16-25 arguably the age group with the most disposable income, no house no bills that go with it no dependable children. More moeny to go to the football more money to hand over to the clubs charging disproportionate fees for stadium entry, merchandise and confectionary.
  2. SPL clubs constantly pandering to this family club image is in my eyes a major reason its going down the swanny.

    Motherwell Flag

Depends how todays workshop goes we might have something new up our sleves for next week, best bet imo is to put it at the front of the P.O.D stand give everyone else a chance to see it. No as that may cause injury and i accept no liability

    Motherwell Flag

After seeing the size of it yesterday it looks ideal to hang from the front of the phil o'donnell stand, giving the fans in the east stand a wee swatch aswell. We did have an agreement that allowwed big poles in fir park but things are a bit unclear ATM.

    Motherwell Flag

Mean to say earlier, could get it on a few big telescopic poles and have it facing the pitch would look alot better than "surfed" across the tiny east.
  8. Thats Football didn't hear any abuse before his celebration, but thought it was hilarious his and the fans reactions afterwards. Its what makes our game a stand out and better in my opinion to most other sports.
  9. Good Sensible reaction by the club today well done.
  10. 5m x 3m Slightly bigger than your 18ft x 9ft quote Would need to confirm paint quantity and prices but i reackon we could get it done for £100-£120
  11. Sheer expensive! Going by that qoute i maintain i could half any price you get. A fourth of whatever barmy flags offers.
  12. Theres a few of us who are going to push this into the public eye a little more anyone willing to get involved send myself a pm.
  13. Bet i could more than half any quote you get. And maybe let you help.
  14. Would like to reinforce the my point that, On tuesday the bother was not started by fans young or old wanting to stand for the full duration of the game, It was stewards who were marching in at times when fans generally get excited and stand up.. Mchugh's goal for example we had hardly started celebrating when it all started. All this about wee "c***s" just wanting to stand and its a sport for them is exactly the inept and out of touch view point the stewards and police have been showing. Im not a wee c**t, i cant afford to be subjected to arrests and cautions for the heinous crime of celebrsating a goal or cheering on my team up the park. It is this point that is forcing me think about whether or not im enjoying paying the money i do to watch games at Fir Park, and i know im not the only one, how many fans is this going to force away before anyone realises who's really at fault here.
  15. They having a laugh? Clicky Nothing against the intended purpose of the campaign. But Strathclyde police and in particular 'N' Division are deffinetly not on the ball when it comes to accomodating fans and how to treat them, has tuesday night showed. Its about time the club realise the actions of the police and hired stewards are only going to force more fans and particuarly young fans away from fir park. There has been times this season, more so on Tuesday when those in charge of crowd control showed how inept and out of touch they are with our more vocal section of the crowd. Straight from the off stewards were trying to grab a flag off 1 fan with no explination or pre warning, from then on they enforced an over the top and over zealous reaction to standing, Its been a problem for as far as i remember but in recent times fans have been allowed to stand in times of "excitement" or generally while singing this lot seemed hell bent on having you glued to your seat no matter what. It is this which irks the fans more and leads to the tit for tat battles with the stewards and police. Its time they tried to be "on the ball" with regards to how certain fans like to enjoy moments of the game. Our voice will be heard even if nothing changes i hope the fans who care will try voice their opinions before being turned away, rather than being forced away and not letting the club know why. Motherwell cant affored to lose fans soo cheaply.

  17. Made it, well kinda. Bought a normal skull and cross bones flag, and painted the white bits claret and amber. less than a tenner all in. tom selleck

    Yesterdays Chants

What amazes me more is the outrage this has caused passion from some people about it. Why isn't there the same passion against the re-occuring themes that are ruining football? Or the SHite atmosphere that is at every game in scotland, if people put this much effort into backing the team maybe this wudn't have happennend?

    Yesterdays Chants

What about what was the best funniest chant from yesterday?
  20. Some top class posters on here, probally spent the full time down the road itching to get online and let the world know how bad the loud-louts and east end baby crew are The Modern day internet-type fan will never stop giving me a good laugh to cure a sunday hangover. Mc Ghee got a bit of vocal payback, If the redtops want to embarrass theirselfs even more even better! Job done. And i never sang the song in question nor agree with it but there was some top class songs that deserve more of the spotlight
  21. Bit of a joke! i was suprised by how passive the fan outside were by it all, they were never going to open another one if we didnt let them know how we felt! Another case of people being all too happy to get treated like idiots by these clubs.
