  1. Something simple like giving out vouchers next time allowing 2 kids free with a paying adult. Or kids for £5 in the South Stand v Ross County/Inverness at home could work a treat. Hope the club really do follow it up and promote it as was bouncing yesterday.

Ive always been a 'well fan but I know there are others who supported either half of the OF as a youngster through their family but after being old enough to make a decision and going to a 'well game haven't looked back since.

  2. Last home game of whats been a fantastic season both on and off the park. The team are flying and need only a point to secure second place and off the park the atmosphere has been excellent throughout the season and throughout the whole stadium. On Saturday there is a plan to sing Michael Higdon's 'Hes Magic' on the 9th minute to back the scottish player of the year. Also throughout the game there will be a number of individual songs about players to show our appreciation for their efforts. Bring your singong voices and lets enjoy another pre euro party at fir park!

    Lyrics to He's Magic

    Oh he's magic

    You know

Goes by the name of Michael

    He's magic

    You know

Give him the ball and he'll score

  3. Not many songs i can think of recently MJC that have been knicked from English teams. In terms of originality in Scotland its really only us and Celtic that are trying to do anything different. Rangers stealing songs from both sides and getting pelters for it. Most now based on European type tunes more upbeat etc.

    He's wee, He's braw, He's Nicky Law

The best winger we've ever saw

    Better than Ronaldo

Plays in front of Steve Hammell

    Original tune.

  4. Good to hear. Think thats the point of the nationwide protest, show of unity amongst the majority of scottish football fans. Should be a good turn out up that way. Fingers crossed good numbers come out at FP as well.

  5. Motherwell will go from strength to strength in an SPL which is fair and competitive.

It would be appreciated if this topic didnt turn into a similar topic, therefore can it only be used for demo chat and not opinions on the whole debacle. Everyone has different opinions however the point in this topic is to inform and encourage as many like minded fans who believe the SPL would be stronger without a Rangers where Motherwell can prosper and grow and to show our view to the club, should they think they can vote without consulting the fans or going against fans wishes.

  6. Right seems to be a bit of chat on going about a possible protest with 30th June looking like the most viable date. Talk of fans of all clubs holding protests outside their own grounds on June 30th at 12pm,regardless if other clubs participate i believe that it is important that fans of the 'well show their unity and hold some sort of demo.

A few of us were talking about sorting something along these lines, however it would appear that this date would be the most suitable as it ties in with other clubs.

The more fans that attend, the stronger the show of strength becomes. I would urge all fans to make this if they possibly could.

  7. Rumour of a number of supporters groups having protests at their clubs' matches this weekend. Simple banners etc to show their opposition of a new Rangers being allowed entry into the SPL. We have a display planned before the match (nothing to do with this) however we will have a banner present to show wour stance towards the situation and would encourage anyone who is against a NewCo in the SPL to make their opposition known to the club. Maybe even make your own banner.

  8. Think what John is trying to say is that one drum is working well enough for us the now. Although struggles to put down what he really means. Been very pleased and surprised how loud the last 4 or 5 games have been. Great time to be a 'well fan.

  9. Thanks very much everyone. Sitting at 125 responses so far which is brilliant. Will keep the survey up until the end of the week to get as many as possible, before i will close it and start to analyse all the data gathered...the joys!

  10. Fellow 'well fans.

As i posted up around a month ago I'm a fourth year uni student who is currently carrying out my dissertation. My dissertation is on the attitudes and opinions of Motherwell FC fans on the introduction of safe standing sections in Scottish football.

I have created a quick survey which will gather the data to produce my results. Please note that your responses will be used as part of the results section within my dissertation.

    Here is the link

Please spare 5 minutes of your time to complete the survey.

    Thanks Rico

  11. A good few lads were definitely put off going due to the treatment last time. No actual boycott though.

Considered trying to organise an official boycott of Parkhead on th 25th but realised that no matter how well it was organised there would always be those fans who would still attend. I know that none of our group will be in attendance though and would encourage others to do the same if they feel that 'well fans have been treated unfairly at Parkhead over the last few years.

  12. We know ourselves the last few weeks have been poor vocally. Bit of apathy perhaps creeping in,but recognised a few problems that have led to the downfall and changed a few things tonight. Always helps when folk join in,even if it is just another 20 or so guys. Nothing more soul destroying than 5 or 6 trying to get it goin.

Funnily enough I reckon the sending off helped a bit of aggro and fans wound up.

Roll on Saturday! Big game in the European hunt and we have a viking over for it too from Aalesunds. Few coming over for Hearts at home too.

  13. To be honest I don't think anyone really has a problem with what we're referred to,as long as we're recognised.

As people have said, its all very well saying, sing up etc however its harder than it looks to try and galvanise such a dour support. We need everyone up for tonights match. We've recognised over the last couple of weeks we've not been as vocal as hoped however that will hopefully change again tonight. Let's all get behind the team!

  14. Picked this out as the ebst game of the season when the fixtures initially came out and its shaping up to be just that. Brilliant MFC team with a fantastic away form, a Hearts club we all love to hate and a big noisy crowd at the ground we usually create the best atmosphere of the season. Belter!

  15. I understand that there are other sections which cover this topic however I am currently carrying out research for my dissertation and will be throughout the next 3/4 months, and any help is much appreciated.

My dissertation is on fans opinions and attitudes towards safe standing sections being introduced in top flight SPL grounds. Perfect timing eh  . Started this at the start of the season and have been really lucky the way the whole argument on safe standing has came into the public eye as much as it has.

I'll put up my pilot questionnaire and would appreciate anyone taking the time out to fill it in.

    Questionnaire

    1) Are you male/ female?

    2) What age are you?

    3) What is your hometown?

    4) How often do you attend Motherwell matches at Fir Park?

    - between one and five matches per season

    - between five and ten matches per season

    - between 10 and fifteen matches per season

    - I attend every home match

    5) Which stand do you attend to watch matches?

    6) Who do you attend matches with?

    - I go alone

    - I attend matches with friends

    - I attend matches with my family

    7) Given the choice would you prefer to sit/ stand?

    8) If a safe standing section was introduced at Fir Park would you...

    - Continue to go but stay in the seated section

    - Continue to go and attend the safe standing section

    - Stop attending matches

    9) If the safe standing section was cheaper to watch football would you...

    - Stay in the seated area

    - Move to the safe standing section

    10. If the typical price of a ticket for the seated area was £20 what wouldyou expect to pay to stand at a match?

  16. Probably the biggest game of the season so far in terms of maintaining our title challenge drinks.gif,so here goes my 'I have a dream' effort. Noticed another thread encouraging people to get along to the game,so I'm using this to encourage those who are at the match to be as loud and boisterous and possible. Encourage those around you to do the same.

Get behind the players for the full 90 as we've seen in recent weeks, even if we are having a 'mare we're still able to sneak late winners and play till the end.

Bring out any flags, scarfs etc that you have tucked away and get the place as noisy and colourful as possible and get the lads cheered on to victory.

    Up the 'well!
