  1. Anything out these fixtures are a bonus.

    Exactly.

Any realistic 'Well fan will know that we're unlikely to take anything, and would more than likely appreciate a positive performance, even if it results in a loss.

If we go at them I think we'll maybe manage to scrape a draw. If we try and defend we'll get thumped 3-0 or so.

  2. As far as I know the polis only ejected him from the stadium, don't think he was charged.

Good. Until we see some of those who actually commit violence outside the grounds dealt with I'd hope that a kid with a sign would get nothing more than a telling off.

  3. Defending against them isn't really an option. The only question such tactics raise is how long it'll take them to score.

I'd rather we played our usualy game, which of course means keeping it tight at the back as well, but our strength lies in our attack and midfield this season, which works perfectly as their defence is terrible.

We should play our usual game and try to take something from the match. If we lose, then at least we gave it a bash.

Points against the Old Firm, especially on their own patch, are always a bonus rather than to be expected.

  4. I know we have the international break to look forward to first, but I figured we could get the thread started anyway.

I don't think I ever go into an away game against either of the Old Firm expecting to take anything from the it, but I always have a wee glimmer of hope that we can if the circumstances are just right.

Those circumstances in this instance involve Daniel Majstorovic. If this lump is playing I fancy us to nick at least one goal as our forwards are on fire at the moment.

As far as I'm aware he still plays for Sweden, so here's hoping he doesn't pick up any knocks between now and the 10th of next month

  5. it was a dangerous game to play at 1-0 up. we should've went for a 2nd goal.

I don't understand why it was a dangerous game to play. Isn't just lumping it forward for their central defenders to outnumber Higdon and take control of the ball more dangerous?

As someone said previously, if they don't have the ball they can't score a goal. Besides, it's hardly as if we were passing it around at the corner flag in our own half, we were passing it around in the midfield looking for an opening to try and get that second goal you're talking about.

I'm simply saying that I wish some of our fans would show more perseverance with an intelligent, patient build-up, which is what McCall is obviously looking for from his team.

We have the players to do that in Lasley & Law, so we should be taking advantage of it.

The attitude of many of the support to John Sutton

    Lasley's red

Humphrey's decision making (apart from the cross he put inch perfect onto Jamie's forehead)

Seriously, what did you expect? Unanimous applause and goodwill? He got cheered by some, booed by others. I doubt he expected any different.

  7. The "Keith" thing has spread into the Cooper thumbup.gif

I was speaking to a few Hearts fans in Daniels after the game and they thought the "Keith" chant was actually "beast", and they couldn't understand why the 'Well fans were chanting that when Craig Thomson had been sent packing!

  8. To be fair, the middle of the east has its fair share of elderly fans, so it's to be expected.

Besides, not everyone wants to sign and shout at the game. They pay their money and are entitled to watch the game as they see fit.
