  1. Very little in the way of "trouble" yesterday, ijinx at the very worst. Bother again caused by stewarding. There was very little reason for the interventions yesterday. There's an element of boisterousness in the younger support, but it doesn't need grown men trying to exert themselves over them. Start pushing your weight around like that, people will react, especially in a group, mob mentality takes hold. Typical bad stewarding, yesterday. Stewards wade in, more stewards wade in, stewards start acting the big man, police come in, stewards told to stop aggravating the situation, calmness resumes.
  2. The spl/spfl/sfl and the sfa have made £0 in fines from such incidents, nobody has ever been fined
  3. There's probably a good few older than you who would be considered young professionals with degrees and such like.
  4. The wee guys obviously trying to show some initiative, can't believe folk are wanting blood for this. Teach the guy how to do a communication like that, some of the stuff on here's pathetic.
  5. Stronger policing? is that a joke?
  6. The older heads amongst the end section pull up the younger ones for their behaviour. We realise that we're not anybody to tell them what not to do, but simply advise them that their behaviour could draw unwanted attention towards us as a group and them as individuals. And apologies, I shouldn't have used a big word like disenfranchised, it obviously caused some alarm there.
  7. No wonder the younger ones feel disenfranchised when patronising cunts like you appear with drivel like that.
  8. The banner you speak of was a one off in 2011, if you look through the rest of our work you'll notice there are no more fascist letters and no letters seeking to emulate casuals. And like I said, some will see it as crossing the line, be it the authorities or those who wake up to a sodden mattress.
  9. If it's not how they act it's how they're dressed. There is so much more to worry about than the bois in the east stand. The very nature of having a boisterous element of the support means at times they'll sail close to the edge, sometime like at NDP some people will say we've crossed the line. There's no need to be whiter than white, there's no need or anything to change .
  10. Mentioned together out of vague similarity, hardly tarred with the same brush.
  11. The only person still on his high horse about ndp is Hugh Keevins. Hugh Keevins is not the media.
  12. Folk on here should stick to wetting the bed. For a start, the damage at NDP was nowhere near like that at Fir Park. The backs of some seats broken yes, concentrated in one area? No, you could hear the sound of chairs breaking all across the stand as Albion scored. The damage at our place was seats being ripped from their mountings, metal being ripped off comncrete , welds breaking and metal bending, as well as the backs of the seats being ripped off and chucked on the park.
  13. We've never been fined for smokebombs, no team in Scotland has.
  14. No club here has been fined for pyro, ever.
  15. Taxis, trains and the generosity o some 'well fans got everybody home. The truth was some bams tashed the window with a brick as the bus drove up through newarthill, the driver seemed happy to take us to the game, told us he'd pick us up afterwards and well... didn't.
  16. So by being in the vicinity 100 odd folk aided or abetted the perpetrators of this truly heinous crime?
  17. you can't just arrest folk via guilt by association. That isn't the rules. That is the entire point here.
  18. from that article: "It was set to be St Mirren’s first match without a police presence but they then had to be called in as stewards struggled to keep a lid on things." Yet, there was undercover police there from before k/o? without a police presence indeed.
  19. The police acted as they were supposed to? In what way was that? That must have been the bit where they kept a calm head, examined the cctv, pointed out who the perpetrators were then arrested them at the scene or with a chap at the door later on. In fact no, the way you deal with a crime is get every on duty officer in surround the area where the person might have been then take everybody in there, tell them that they can't leave the area, take all their details, threaten to arrest, actually arrest or then fine those who have a problem with that. It's the equivalent of catching a shoplifter up asda then surrounding the place whilst the police make sure nobody else is stealing. I can safely say I never broke the law on Saturday but was subjected to this kind of treatment. Also, nobody is asking anybody to stand beside the Green Brigade or what ever, sure there set list might not be to most peoples taste but the point was more that Motherwell fans should stick together though, back the bois.
  20. This was certainly pre-planned, at least some form of action was. Undercover police in with the fans? That doesn't just happen. Somebody in charge lost the plot yesterday.
  21. This. Police tactics were so wide of the mark today. there was what 3 or 4 smoke bombs? yet 50 odd police? fuck knows how many detained after the final whistle? Any body who thinks that the police were in any way justified in their actions today is a complete loon.
  22. Smoke bombs are illegal yes. People have been constantly warned that it's too big a risk. But 50 odd police? undercover police? kettleing tactics? taking everybody in the end sections details? searching 15 year olds in toilets? not being allowed to leave without giving up ones details? Can anybody honestly say that is valid use of resources? An appropriate response to the crimes alleged to be committed? or in any way an acceptable way to treat largely innocent supporters?
  23. The badge on the shirt changes its self ever so slightly depending on who makes the kit that year. Don't think the current looks tired or old at all, who ever done it back in the 80's done a good job. Looks timeless imo, no need for change.
  24. Celtic one was at Ibrox, hold a flare aloft it's pretty safe, looks pretty cool. Put it on a plastic seat at your rivals stadium, it'll start a fire and cause damage, I'd imagine that was the desired effect.
  25. Kayal's just like Jim Goodwin, but less fond of an independent Palestinian state.
