  1. The man obviously talked his way into the job ahead of 60 odd other candidates. Hes a good talker as we see from his 10 minute post match interviews and punditry, but thats where it ends for me. He lasted 6 months at Scunthorpe and left them in the relegation zone and he wasnt quite the miracle worker when he won the Irish league with Sligo, who had finished just a few points adrift of the title the season prior to his arrival. His signings have been poor (not classing Mcdonald as one of HIS signings). I wouldnt have any of them in our 11, I would rather have the likes of Thomas or Moore even Ramsden fighting to keep us up rather than these loanees who are away back to their own clubs at the end of the season. On top of that I struggle to see what brand of football the guy is trying to play, he doesnt seem to have 1.
  2. Was looking forward to todays confirmation of a Saturday friendly, for it to be announced as behind closed doors yet again is another disappointment. Friendlys arent for everyone but to we've only had 1 for the fans. Obviously commonwealth games has something to do with that but so does not having a backup plan for going out of the Europa.
  3. Worste thing for me was when Carsy went off injured. McCall pretty much had the chance to redeem himself and use our last sub as Erwin or McCugh (who was scoring against that calibur of team at the end of last season) and go for it. But insted opted to go like for like, nothing against Jack Leitch but pretty much ended up keeping 2 holding midfielders and leaving Sutton isolated. Dont get it.
  4. This is a risk we all took booking flights when we did, we knew the stadium capacity and what we would be entitled to. Alot of people on social media quick to criticize the club tonight. OK its late, but even if Stjarnan had brought the tickets over or whatever, it wouldnt have made much difference. 85 people are going to get tickets and the rest are going to miss out. Main thing is we are there and if we have 50 or 100 or more fans standing behind a fence behind the goal with a cerry oot then it might work in our favour!
  5. It's been reported that Celtic are currently in talks to get their games switched round. So looks like they will probably play their 2nd leg at home. Which would make you think ours will stay as it is playing home 1st and away 2nd. Also help keep the price of flights from rocketing before we can even book up.
  6. Oh was he not, didnt realise, seen here and abroad and thought he held his own, looked decent, myt aswell get rid of him then. Sure ur glad we spent watever we spent on McManus . . . Defense looks solid with him and nae width
  7. Same could be asked of mcmanus at the back, cant fault he is a very gd experienced CB but surely Cummins was about ready to partner Hutch and against spend money where more needed
  8. Why did we sign Lawson? We had Carswell seemingly ready for first team football and has more to his game than Lawson, my biggest disappointment is that the Lawson money could surely have been spend on natural width, which obviosly we have none of. We r far too easily to play against right now
  9. Looks possible, was nice earlier but now the sky is just a sheet of grey
  10. Na thats no fair on them, give them a wee chance at least!
  11. Never happen but Id have Hunphrey Kerr Cummins Hammell Las Carswell Heatherington Ojamaa Higdon Murphy Yes humphrey at RB! Think itd suit him on this occasion with them playin on the break, i know it was only Hamilton but he didnt put a foot wrong last time a while back
  12. Aye sell him, he's a "fucking diddy". He's been sent off twice in about 60 odd games, even though todays was very unfortunate due to the refereeing. Hes probably our best and most consistent player and worth more than 300k. If it wasnt for him today Im pretty sure we wouldnt be going into the last 5 minutes with a lead to even protect
  13. Booked up easyjet Glasgow to Bristol late on Wed night (£30), then ryanair 7am flight next morning Bristol - Valencia (£48), then back ryanair Barcelona - Prestwick at 2.45pm on Fri (£45). Cheap way of doing it, just got to contend with an overnighter in Bristol airport and an early train from Valencia to Barcelona on Fri morning.
  14. They are both very diffrent players with diffrent qualitys, I dont really think its fair to say they dont get on based on some on field bickering which happens in every game of football at every level. I'm pretty sure they get on just fine. Playing Ojamaa up with Higdon allows us to have Murphy cutting in from the left where hes most dangerous, in my opinion they are 3 players which compliment each other very well and if we play the team we played last night, a 2nd place finish is a very realistic target.
  15. Anyone know the script for drinking on the train? is there some new law or something?
