  1. He also said that motherwell had several players that he would like sign but that they couldn't afford them. And my my doesn't mark look resplendent with his new Aberdeen scarf.
  2. Anyone heard of this guy. IRELAND'S rising young management star Pat Fenlon last night declared his interest in landing a top-flight job in Scotland. The 40-year-old, who last year led Bohemians to the League of Ireland and FAI Cup double in his first season in charge, has masterminded his side's surge to the top of the Eircom Premier League as they look to maintain the title. Fenlon's stock has risen so much that a clutch of teams in England are ready to step in to snatch the Republic of Ireland Under-23 boss away. Falkirk and Motherwell are also eyeing candidates to take over from John Hughes and Mark McGhee respectively and they could look to a man who has been earmarked as a future successor to Irish national boss Giovanni Trapattoni. Fenlon told Record Sport: "I'm under contract here at Bohemians and I'm loving working here on a daily basis. "This club have been great to me and I have so much I want to do with this football club. "I have a good relationship with the board and we are in the middle of the season so we have to stay focused on the job in hand here. "But if a club from overseas comes in then I would have to hear what they say if Bohemians gave them permission to speak to me. "I'm a young manager but everyone has ambitions to go and better themselves so if there was interest in me I would have to look at that. "But any club would have to approach my own club here before I even considered leaving."
  3. Robbo nae offence mate but the last thing we need as a manager is a piss artist.
  4. If John Boyle offered the job to Scott Leitch that is a worry.
  5. Just checked out William Hills and they have Alan Burrows as odds on favorite to land the job with Peter Elder as his assistant.
  6. Never liked McGoo don't know why just some people you don't like, couldn't care less that he is of to Aberdeen and I hope it all goes horribly wrong . And if he takes 3 or 4 of our players then a lot more are going to dislike him .Can you imagine if that is the case his first visit to firpark as Aberdeen manager.
  7. The manager should always be an important part of any club, but he should never be more important than THE club.
  8. Spot on indeed mate. McGhee's dithering left us ill prepared at the start of last season lets hope the same doesn't happen this time , we could start our European campaign with nice new strips but nobody to fill them.
  9. Andy Roddy was a great player who was never fully appreciated at firpark.
  10. Celtic celtic celtic we should rename this site Steelbhoysonline.co.uk.
  11. I couldn't care less if he goes only that things get resolved quickly ,i firmly believe he wasn't fully focused on the motherwell job at the end of last season when at the last minute he chose us over hearts,as a club we suffered because of that and i sincerely hope it doesn't happen again.
  12. Well this threads got me interested in the newsletter so Ive signed up.
  13. Hope yir right weeyin but as i say its the S.F.A. who knows why they do anything.
  14. I'm not to sure about this guys i wouldn't be surprised if they gave the spot to a big city club ,lets say perhaps Hibs .Hope I'm wrong but this is the S.F.A remember.
  15. Well done to Flow,Bobby and Graeme, keep up the good work.
  16. From the sunday herald .There was an intriguing sub-plot to the contest following Uefa's announcement last week that Scotland will have another representative in Europe next season by virtue of finishing third in their Fair Play League. The SPL club with the best disciplinary record which has not already qualified will enter the new Europa League in the first qualifying round at the start of July. Currently, that is Motherwell. However, Hibernian and St Mirren lie narrowly behind them. It is a highly unusual, possibly unique, situation for the former to find themselves in. They could conceivably set out with the deliberate aim not to pick up any more yellow or red cards in the remaining games of the season in order to guarantee a return to continental competition. It was interesting, then, to see manager Mark McGhee drop Maros Klimpl to the bench. The uncompromising Slovakian has been outstanding since moving to Scotland but has also picked up no fewer than 10 yellow cards in just 20 matches in this country. Go figure. Still, nobody could have accused Motherwell of not trying to win.
  17. Great result and good to see D.C grab a couple he must be nearing last seasons tally now,all the best to St.Mirren though if they stay up good for them.
  18. Tell you what guys i will be keeping my season ticket money firmly in my pocket till we get a rough idea of what sort of team we will have next year. Money is tight and i wont be forking out 200 quid plus to watch what could be no better than a junior side.

    Clarky - 250 Up!

Well done D.C loyalty is a rare thing in football today.
  20. I don't see how McGhee can say we're the 3rd best footballing team in the league to be honest. As someone says he talks a good game.
  21. MARK McGHEE says he'll have to become a magician this summer to pull new signings out of thin air. The Fir Park gaffer says he's struggling to seal deals with transfer targets as English Championship clubs are offering THREE times the wages of Motherwell's top earners. He groaned: "We've been talking to the agent of a player in the First Division since Christmas and were confident we might get him. "Then he got an invitation to speak to a Championship club who have already offered him three times our best wages. "Some youth players are ready to progress but that's not enough to equip the squad - we need experienced players. "Last year we found Maros Klimpl, Jim O'Brien and John Sutton . We'll need to do the same again this year."
  22. Cheers Ricky was starting to think the game was Sunday, anyway the pressure is all on Falkirk today which might just be to our advantage, think we might just pile the pressure on the bairns today winning 2-0.
  23. Just wondered as there isnt a thread or anything.
