  1. Motherwell: Graeme Smith, Quinn, Craigan, Reynolds, Hammell, Lasley, Klimpl, Hughes, O'Brien, Clarkson, Fitzpatrick. Subs: Krysiak, Sutton, Sheridan, McGarry, Darren Smith. St Mirren: Howard, Ross, Potter, Cuthbert, Robb, McGinn, Murray, Dorman, Brady, Hamilton, Mehmet. Subs: Smith, Wyness, Brighton, McAusland, Thomson. So the answer to our question is NEITHER? Just a tad confused but if we win i won't care i trust mghee's judgement
  2. I'm going to take my usual stand before the game of daring not to dream to hard in case it blows up in my face. I hear clarky's wedding day is planned the same day as the cup final as the sfa pulled it back a week. Hmm i'd love for him to get roasted by the to be mrs clarkson for playing for the well instead of tying the knot!!!
  3. With the sale of porter then that's 2.1 million and as mark mcghee stated he was able to use chris's wages to strengthen the squad but no more. We won't go out and purchase players anymore those days are long gone. We had a big scare with administration a few years back and as long as that money is being used correctly to insure the longevity of the club i won't grumble.
  4. HUNG OOT HER LIKE A FISH HANGIN OOT A BEARS MOOTH DID YE?
  5. LOVE THE SHOUT BEFORE THE GOAL!! CMON FIZZZYYYYYY!!! YYYYAAAAAAASSSSSSS!!!!!! ROLL ON THE MIDDEN ON SATURDAY!!!!
  6. Maybe i was been a bit harsh about cillian, i just don't see what all the ranting and raving is about if he scores 12 goals between now and the end of the season i'd be delighted. It's all about what's best for motherwell but him benefitting from first team experience which would also benefit a player on a lengthy contract doesn't make sense to me unless he produces the goods. If anything he's strengthened the bench cos wee murphy has gone flat, i hope this spurs the lad on bcos early signs were promising.
  7. Do i need to say anymore than this? Decision made John Sutton Hands down!!!! Sesame_Street.bmp cillian.bmp
  8. No interest in furthering or better sheridan's career whatsoever!!! Chris Sutton has been waiting for his chance and stuck 2 in the net on monday night. If that wee prick gets given the nod b4 him on saturday i'll be raging!! If you watch the video on bbc he could wait to get the motherwell top with his name on it, out of his hand quick enough. As far as i'm concerned any affiliation with gordon strachan is unhealty he's an arrogant wee bampot. And whats to say if he does play well and we then play celtic and have to drop him, our manager should be able to control his team with no boundaries or whats the point!!!
  9. don't know about u but if we done something like that against the old firm with 5 minutes to go 1-0 up i'd give my right testy to see that!!!!!
  10. Have no idea but the ball control is out of this world!!!!
  11. I was doing my usual browsing and came accross this? Could anybody see coach fizzy and the rest trying this sorta stuff? If only!!!! http://www.break.com/index/the-sport-of-chinlone.html
  12. Can't believe we signed this boy. MM's not looking to improve the team photo he looks like that thingwy that stays in the bin on sesame street!!!!
  13. I've said it b4 and i'll say it again lappin was speaking to his new manager about getting a shot in the norwich team. it's too soon for him to jump ship and in his opinion he wanted something new , gus macpherson he said was by far the best manager he's worked under so maybe ahave a chance but it was only 2 weeks ago we spoke and that would surprise the hell out of me!!!
  14. Honestly the transfer window does my nut in looking accross the dual carriageway a team that beat us 2 - 0 on our last outing. Is signing players like they didn't have a squad in the first place!!!! How an earth can they manage to pay all the extra wages when there home support is by far the lowest in the league? I understand mcghee's point of view in not making signings for signings sake but is if billy reid is able to make multiple loan deals how can we not? I just want to see something the quiteness is unsettling with 45 minutes to go and our next game is against them. Time will tell if we make no signings and beat them then fair enough but it begs the question just now if we lose to them again why were neccasary measures not taken? We are the pride of lanarkshire it's never been under threat but there current form is impressive and it will see billy reid take manager of the month, where we sell a player for 400k and still don't have the money made available. I better shut up b4 this sounds like the " we deserve better campaign!!!!
  15. It does look like snow honestly why would u not use the frost covers after the current problems, i want to see the phil o donnell shirt in that webcam 2moro night. MON THE WELL!!!!!!
  16. No chance for a deal for don cowie now he's just signed a pre contract deal for watford!!!!
  17. I love being motherwell fan and we take a lot of stick from the OF fans, but i wouldn't have it any other way. When we were at the cis cup final a few years back i was so proud of our support and totally disgusted with the rangers end. The utter bile that was flying round the ground that day was shocking, at half time there was a real buzz in our end of hope and expectation. We can never claim to be out and out favourites to win any of our matches in this league, but our team has done us so proud. Through administration and a serious of really bad managers we have produced some of the best scottish talent around. Paul lambert, tom boyd, ally maxwell, faddy, pearo, o donnell, clarkson the list could go on and on. Our club creates such a platform for these types of players to come through and our support although incredibly negative at times contributes to there developement. There have been times where i've thought wtf were people thinking, with racial abuse to coloured players and the " dean shiels" incident. But the only way that can improve is by us speaking up at matches and directing them to the rogue element. I sit in the east stand bcos the atmosphere is better and will sing along with the majority of chants that get behind the team. If it wasn't for the east stand support fir park would be like a morgue at times, i voted top six as who can really claim to be the best all have there bad parts on the whole we love our club and pay our money to criticise, lets just hope in the future it can be less "colourful"
  18. It's to easy to say that the wages are the single most defining factor in a contract. Look at kaka for most that would've been a no brainer half a mill a week plus appearance money bonuses the lot!!! But his heart is with milan. Si has roots in coatbridge that where his fiance is from and he loved it at motherwell and with the best will in the world norwich are going nowhere. At least with motherwell there is an outside chance of european football if we can keep this team together and if you can perform on that stage then a real big money move could come.
  19. I know a lot of motherwell fans who would love to see simon lappin back at fp. Were any of you aware that his contract ends with norwich in the summer? I was speaking to him last night and he loved his time at fir park and would've loved to join but norwich wanted a fee. With glenn roeders having left the new manager has spoke to si and he's going to give him his chance, but if mcghee's reading this a wee pre contract for si must be worth considering.
  20. WHAT A PING!!!!!!! KLIMPL TWATTED THE BAW INTAE THE BACK OF THE NET THAT SORTA SHIT NEEDS A SOUND EFFECT!!!!! CLARKY'S GOAL WAS CLASS AS WELL THE WAY HE KNEW THE DEFENDER WAS COMING ACCROSS HIM AND HE JUST LET HIM "JOG ON" WATCHED THE SMELLTIC HIGHLIGHTS AND EVEN THOUGH THERE WERE 6 GOALS IN THAT GAME HOW ON EARTH COULD THEY COMPETE WITH THE QUALITY OF FINISHING!!! GOT TO BE A GOAL OF THE MONTH IN THERE SOMEWHERE!!!
  21. have we ever lost a game when fizzy scores? remember the goal against hearts in the cup does anybody know? Delighted to see clarky on the scoresheet again it's been coming for ages, his value to the team is priceless. Remember reading a few fans opinions on " the masterstroke" of playing klimpl in midfield big boab's been sitting on the bench looking like a spoilt wayne but who can argue can i just say SIGN HIM!!!!!!
  22. WTF i knew this was going to happen once again an undervalue bid for a top class player. I'm sick of seeing our club exploited in this way, if john boyle accepts this bid i'll be gutted. If the rangers fans think that they deserve better they really don't have a clue, the money we've generated from selling our top players over the years is a pittance compared to what rangers get just because of there history and success. In recent years clubs like hibs have acted wisely by signing youth players on long term contracts to profit in the future. The sad thing is if we don't get money for porter now we definately won't in the summer as he will want success and trophies and we haven't seen a trophy since 91. I believe we have a real shot at the scottish cup this year if we keep porter, surely boyle as a well fan must see that och well time will tell.
  23. The draw does look good to me and providing we take care of locos then we have every chance if the right team turns up. Things are on the up and up just now the hearts game was always going to say a lot about how we are looking for retaining third place. I just hope that mcghee's got a few players lined up for us to be able to take up the task of achieving that and at least getting into the quarter final draw. If we don't get a few body's in then injuries will completely ruin any chance we have.
  24. starting watchin the well in the 90's so for me has to be rab mackinnon, a bit controversial choosing a left back but unlike jim paterson or stevie hammell, the well fans didn't need to shout "skin him jim" or anything he just would distribution into the box top drawer thought the guy was excellent. Also loved big sieb in between the sticks players with real personality that made you want to watch them, because from game to game you didn't know what that crazy sob would do!!!! Big buff in defence for me miss having players with that much authority!!!! Was there to see clarky's hatrick against dundee utd first one i ever saw and was totally in awe!!! loads of memories for different reasons i was born in bellshill moved to livingstone for 11 years and used to support rangers, before my dad took me to my first football match against hibs at fp. think we won 1-0 on the day after the game he asked me if i wanted a motherwell scarf and i haven't looked back since!!! It's strang bcos i h8 rangers more than most clubs now i guess that comes with being a doormen at the thistle in larkhall for 2 years oh well ho hum rant over i love the well!!!!!!!!!!##
