  1. Carson and Kipre for me. Carson is a fairly easy choice, he’s been outstanding. Other candidates for me are Tait due to his consistency and versatility, and Hartley but his injury rules him out. Feel bad bad about not including Allan Campbell but Kipre just shades it for me due to him being virtually ever present in our best back line for years, added to the fact this season is his first ever experience of senior football and he’s taken to it like a duck to water. Doubt we’ll see him in claret and Amber next season unfortunately.
  2. From the latest Well Society newsletter..almost £200k wiped off our debt in 2017 thanks to pledges. Well Society Newsletter 23/2/2018Double Your Money Campaign We are delighted to announce that during the year of 2017 the Well Society raised £193,719.37 through pledges, donations, events, shares, and auctions - a fantastic amount raised by the Motherwell support which allows fan-ownership to succeed. This sum includes £41,226.50 raised from the Share Sale launched in November which received a fantastic response. Additionally, this also includes £1490.49 raised from our Fundraising Auctions which have been taking place throughout the year. With Les Hutchison’s Double your Money initiative, this amount is even more significant as Les Hutchison has generously agreed to write off the same amount from his loan to the Club. This, of course, means that your support has made even more of an impact on the Club’s financial position, allowing almost £200,000 to be written off!As you may be aware, Mr Hutchison has kindly agreed to continue the Double Your Money offer for another year so again we would encourage all ‘Well fans to continue to support in whatever way you can. It’s up to us to raise even more in the next twelve months!
  3. Forgot to set the game to record on Alba at 6pm before I left the house and judging by the Mixlr commentary that was a slice of luck. Turgid by all accounts. Edit : and 1-0 less than 30 secs later hah. Lovely stuff
  4. Charles Dunne for the second week in a row for me. Defensively he was impeccable but his distribution remains patchy at best. Incredible turn of pace down the ODonnell stand side in the second half to cut off a Killie breakaway too.
  5. Aye, he pinged one in from the half way line straight from kick off past either Randolph or Ruddy, cant remember which.
  6. Ah thats unfortunate. I was hoping no TV coverage and a Saturday 3pm kick off which I think would have seen a great crowd. Will it be the Saturday lunchtime game then if its BBC?
  7. I think thats 6 home wins on the bounce in the league now for Killie, 7 if you include the cup. Some change that Clarke has brought about - fair play. Mulumbu out injured tonight and Dicker sent off though so they may be slightly weakened for Saturday.
  8. Didnt think Id be saying this after the first 5-6 games of the season but has Charles Dunne played enough games to trigger his contract extension yet? Hes been excellent since the break and Id be more than happy if he signed a longer deal.
  9. Big Dunne for me. Been outstanding since the break.
  10. A deserved lead for us. A well worked goal, a disallowed goal (no idea what for) and a couple of good chances for Main and Ciftci. Dundee had a few half chances from set pieces but not much else. Ciftci needs to be careful though, hes playing well but Dundee clearly targeting him and he started to get a bit clumsy at the end of the half with tackles. Wouldnt be surprised if Ciftci or McGowan see red.
  11. Looking like well take a good crowd up today. Chat on twitter of 1,200 tickets sold and I reckon therell be at least another couple of hundred who, like me, will PATG.
  12. Well thought-out and sensible post and I agree with pretty much all of it. You should get back to posting here more often.
  13. I think its to do with them playing in the youth version of the Champions League during midweek evenings when U20 fixtures are usually played.
  14. Haha I noticed this too. Said literally the opposite from what he meant. Hes been great since the break though so he is forgiven.
  15. Sounds like 3 good chances for us early in the 2nd half but none taken.... I wonder how this is going to play out

  17. Pretty sure it was announced as 711 over the tannoy. Definitely just over the 700 mark. A decent following to be fair.
  18. Not an ex-player but I see theres a bit of traction behind Leanne Dempster to replace Reagan at the SFA.
  19. Heard a few rumours of this sort from the Hibees in my work. Some local ladies being caught in players rooms etc also.
  20. Carson is worth 10-15 points a season to us - i.e the difference between possible relegation/playoff and a tilt at the top 6. With two and a half years left on his contract, it being very late in the window for us to sort a replacement, and us being fully aware of how desperate Celtic are it will have to be a ridiculous offer (£1m?) for us to even consider it. Surely hed be on the bench (at best) at Celtic once Gordon is fit again in a few months. He may even be behind De Vries if he goes now. Another 6-12 months with us and he could be off to the championship as a #1.
  21. Not sure how the lineman can see for sure that it crossed the line with how close it was and the few bodies in the way. Do not care a jot however.
