The club are certainly doing everything they can to back Barra. Skippy gave us lots of good times previously and will be good to see what he can offer. We really need someone up front with Sutton who will annoy defenders and not let them relax. Hope it works!

Sky's transfer centre had a piece up earlier saying Barra expected to be very busy tomorrow with another 2 or 3 coming in. Looks like he's being backed and we could be the busiest SPFL team on deadline day!

Could he be the replacement for Hutchy that we have been crying out for?

I think he doesn't see Ramsden or Reid as CB and is likely to look to ship out Cummins which leaves us with only 3 in that position and then makes sense that he wants another in.

Quick scout says he is a 20 year old defender who has hardly ever played first team football - not a replacement for Henrik

With only highlights to go on... looks like Pearson is making good forward runs and we need someone up-front who can support this (possibly Erwin on what I've seen). If we decide to let Ojamma return to Poland i'd prefer the money to be spent on a commanding keeper - for me young Watt deserves a run a left back till hammy returns.

Watched the highlights again and The money must be found to pay McManus off either that or get him done under trade descriptions. At fault for 3 goals and numerous chances. No communication, no fight just no effort and a waste of a (probably) large wage.Please please please let's a least try hitting some shots in the next game. The warm up routine that Black does pre game with shooting is totally pointless at the moment!

Cerny (ex Accies keeper) training with us? Not a statement more a question as seen it elsewhere but not convinced.

Barra clearly wants to play a high pressing game and to do that our midfield need pace t close people down and work in a certain way without the ball. I don't think Vigurs can fit with that. I think he is a very talented player with the ball and I will be sorry to see him go. Barra must have looked at what he wants / needs to get us out of this and maybe Vigurs has already said he won't be signing a new deal therefore he has to be moved on. Agree i'd prefer to see others out first but other clubs need to want them to ship them on.

See that Ross County have also signed Burgess on loan from Fulham - I thought he was outstanding against us in pre-season. They are getting their business done. Vital we make a few moves soon.

Replacement for Vigurs?

Don't really expect much movement. Ojamma staying would be good. O'Brien would be no massive loss. If we can move on a few fringe that may free up budget for a loan. McHugh puzzles me as he's not been near the bench in weeks so is he injured and if so no chance of getting him shifted.

In the press conference Kenny Black has said O'Brien is back in the squad. Vigurs is a doubt along with 2 other un-named players. he slipped in that Hammel should be back in the squad also - that was the best bit of news IMO.

Nothing really in the Press Conference. Dan was honest in saying that the on-goings are potentially impacting the players and get the sense they just want it sorted. Kenny didn't give much away.

I was convinced last night that VDG was nailed on, not sure now. Could go either way with him or Baraclough.

Good chance now that Black will be in charge for the crunch run against County, St.Mirren and Thistle. Hoping he's been told he has a chance to get job so that at least he has motivation to steer them through!

Heard Flow on the radio and he gave nothing away at all. Threw in the line of us usually going left field and may be the same. Also said there were 10 applicants in by last night! For me needs to be someone Scottish based and not having to travel up and down the road. I'd like McKinlay but with our aging squad it might need someone with much more experience to clear the deadwood and then someone younger to bring through the youth.

The fans who called for him to go only have the best interest of our club and want us to start winning games. They are not the ones who have been on the pitch this season. The only ones who put us in this position are the ones in the envious position of pulling on the jersey we love. If you want someone to blame best to look in their direction!

I'm minded to say no rookies. However I like Billy McInlay and he has a great rep as a coach.

This season has been a massive struggle and things have turned against SMC. However, thank you for the previous run of best of the rest. No matter the quality of the opposition he still led the team to great achievements. Best wishes for his future and we need to move on quickly.
