I thought they were a good team and thought we did well but just didn't have an out ball often enough. How many times did Faddy or ZFA pick up the ball wide and we needed someone to run towards the corner but we just don't have any pace in the team at all. There is just nobody to make the runs that Ojamma made all season or even the out ball from the back for Humphrey to run on to. Maybe we've just been spolit with this style and need to get used to a much slowe build up. I though Lawson and Vigurs had good games and woudl love to see Vigurs get the ball more. Also thought McManus strolled through the game with real confidence. Amazing how some players looked really unflustered when under pressure even in our own box and yet the fans were in meltdown!

Better experience than those who made the 6.15 train to Motherwell. They had cancelled half the carriages and train was full of students coming back from Ibiza. Most had to stand all the way to Carlisle at which point they came on the tannoy to ask for the singing to stop as children were intimidated. Transport police came on and then 3 empty carriages were added to the front and Well fans moved to them. Great day out though with great atmosphere in neat little stadium.

Agree we need pace. First half last night we had 4 central midfielders on the park and were crying out for width. I am interested to see what formation SMC goes for as at the moment don't see how we can have width and fit Lawson, Lasley and Vigurs in central midfield and still play 2 up top. Liked the 3-4-1-2 we played second half, not sure how effective that would prove in the league. It gave us the width we needed. Also what would the 3 be - Ramsden, Hutch, McManus? if so where does Hammell fit in. If he goes to the left wing back where does ZFA fit in. I can see lots of rotation this season perhaps.

Wonder if anyone saw Faddy at the Donny game today? Hearing he may have been offered a deal at Blackpool to cover Matt Phillips who has broken his arm.

Stumbled in to Hateley in Sports Direct in Wishae the other day he's obviously still local and not at pre-season training yet. You'd imagine that wherever he ends up he'll be a bit behind on fitness!

Don't usually pay any attention to articles with Mark Hateley but read his bit in the Sunday Mail about Tom not having been offered a new contract at Fir Park yet. What are people's views on this? Has McCall got someone else lined up or does he expect him to leave anyway - interesting.

Thinking about the likes of Wylde and Allan it would be good to see young Scottish talent at FP. Wonder is McCall having an influence with the national squad will have any bearing on their decisions.

IMO this would be a terrible move for Nicky's career. Yes he'll get to play in front of 40000+ and yes he'll get a decent wage but for his longer career would he be developed playing at such a level and would he really want the hassle that comes with that club and that city. I can understand ambition to move on to bigger challenges and at the same time more cash (ie Randy) but not in this way.
