  1. This Albania photo pish is really wearing thin. Used to be funny but now is down right cringeworthy.

What he said. Get yerself onto facebook or whaever the kids are browsing these days, if anyone wants to see your photies I'm sure you can tag them and get them found.

  2. Believe me I have seen some brilliant footballers, but Malcolm is not in that category. He is a million miles away.

Motherwell can only nurture brilliant footballers, we will very rarely sign one, such is our lot. Malcolm would do the same as Craigy boy, see us to the end of the season, nothing more.

  3. What Motherwell footage do you have mate?

Stuff from 1921 until present day, an ongoing labour if you like. A lot of Scottish cup stuff from the 30's to the 60's, league footage from the 60's,70's and 80's.

In fact, I'll PM ye :woop:

Some good early footage on the Scottish Screen Archive site from the 1921 Scottish Cup 3rd round second replay against Ayr United at Celtic Park. And the 4th round game between Motherwell v Partick Thistle at Fir Park on the same reel.

    Motherwell 3 Ayr United 1

I bought a lot of the SSA footage, not a bad price, STV were extortionate for their stuff, their archive seems to have been binned, which is a shame cause there were 1 or 2 gems in there that they couldn't find when I asked for them a few years ago.

  4. Aye. A great night. They both live near me - Andy Paton only 2 minutes walk away. We had them out for a meal at Christmas and the stories were great. It was brilliant to see the respect Kirkie had for Andy Paton (Mr Paton to Kirkie) and a real honour to spend the evening with them. It was great to talk to Kirkie about Alan Main fouling him at Hampden as he headed in the winner!!!!

Was it not McCart fouling Main that led to Kirkie's easy nod in? but, aye, most of the former Motherwell players are only too happy to endure q&a with fans. As a player though Kirkie would swan about thinking he was 'the man', he wouldn't engage any conversation with us mere mortal workers at Fir Park.

  5. Would I be right in saying that the land Fir Park is on is worth millions? I vaguely remember something about that being said before.

At some point it may have been worth that kind of money, but I doubt it today.

  6. Sadly Saturday proved that the stand isn't up to the task anymore and the sooner we move the better for all I think.

One other thing, just between the doors for the gents near the stairs, there is a roof panel which seems to get benter every game with rainwater, one day it's going to collapse on someone and there is going to be a funny accident.

And you're studying journalism? Nothing quite like the hyperbole on here when a game gets called off. The worst winter temperatures and weather for a right few years and it's time to rip the place down, away and ger yer hole or a pie.

  7. No problem with communication through the Trust mate, but the MST has to be even handed. By that I mean it should post on Fir Park Corner. Trust shouldn't be seen to favour one site over another. It should represent all its members.

This site used to have a Trust forum, BUT it's up to the individual which site they join and contribute to, there are more than 2 Motherwell sites as well.

  8. Same plumber

Auld Arthur? Seriously doubt that one, the temperatures have been as low as -12, -5 last night almost inevitable that pipes would freeze, some kind of trace heating would be expensive to install now.

  9. Unless Ruddy, Juke and Yaas have agreed to stay on i would drop them. Apart from that i'm not really bothered who plays. Hopefully we can pick up a few wins now over teams below us and to me these are a crucial few games coming up.

You should always play your strongest team, even if they are leaving us in January, all points are prisoners.

  10. There are more exceptions in the last 12 years than there are rules. Recently we have been murder in MUST win games, the games you mention weren't must win with direct consequences, even Rangers in 97 it only set us up to avoid the play off and we couldn't beat Dunfermline the next week either.
