The young chap they have played on two occasions hasn't faired much better as he has conceded 7 goals in 2 starts. Hopefully shoot on sight is an instruction today. Looking forward to the game. It's a shame the season is coming to an end as we're enjoying such a good run of form. It's amazing to think of the turn around in form as leaving Kirkcaldy all those months ago, even though you knew that it was curtains for Hammell it was hard to see a way out of relegation battle. Despite United being really poor this season our games against them have been a mixed bag. We absolutely pumped them 0-0 at Fir Park earlier in the season, we scraped a 1-0 win up at Tannadice despite playing 10 men for just over half the match and more recently they beat us at Fir Park, still annoyed about the VAR offside consistency in that one mind as we would have been 2 goals to the good if they gave the attacker the advantage like they did with the touching lines in the Rangers game. If we secured 7th on Wednesday I wouldn't have been surprised to see maybe young Miller get his first start as well as Oxborough perhaps but as we didn't I think the side will likely be Kelly, Furlong, Blaney, Mugabi, McGinn, O'Donnell, Goss, Slattery, Spittal, Van Veen and Mandron. Itll be nice to officially relegate Jim 'Beyond Saving' Goodwin a day after he signed his longer term contract. Hopefully VV puts it to bed early.

Literally a few weeks ago we got a goal disallowed where Van Veen was well offside and they also checked a potential red card for Goss in the same play which was nothing as well and it took over 4 minutes to come to a decision, it's things like that which make VAR a farce.

For me it's more the consistency with the officials using VAR and the time taken, earlier in the season Hammell moaned about a handball vs Aberdeen not even being checked with seconds remaining and he mentioned the reply given was a mistake was made and all handball's in the box like that will result in a penalty, fast forward two weeks later at Tynecastle and they say no to Sibbick handling but penalise Sol for the same thing. Then more recently, the offside goal vs Rangers where the lines showed that he was fractionally off but the explanation was that the lines are touching so advantage goes to the attacker. I've not seen it back but Kettlewell referenced that KVV versus Dundee United had an effort ruled off for similar. However it was great to see the officials come to the correct conclusion yesterday. That's twice Butcher has been penalised against them but VAR has helped overturn. The County players put up a massive protest at ours but it's weird thing to do when they know Willie Collums watching.

We got 10 points during the 2013/14 season. Drew 3-3 with Celtic, beat 5-1 by Dundee United and won three on the trot with the last fixture being up at Pittodrie when Craig Reid netted in injury time.

Goss has had 9 bookings in the league and I don't recall him missing a match. William Collum on VAR today, very little will go under his nose prepare for long waits and an Injury time amount Alex Ferguson would be pwoud of.

When he was interviewed after getting the Utd gig he mentioned another club in the Premiership had tried to get him, obviously it was us but he had made a comment something like that team was beyond saving. I hope we get to inflict some misery upon him.

It's went from the Old Firm B squads trying to riggle in the Lowland League, to them only doing a solitary season then to them being mainstays and now a new league created around them and a few others. I know the young boys have performed well in the competition but that annoys me too that B sides are in the challenge cup. I feel Scottish football has become less and less appealing over the last decade. I hope this gets voted down but I wouldn't hold my breath.

His hoop never got off the bench up in Kirkcaldy. However I know what you mean, I was worried early on that he was the only left back and felt like we needed experience badly, the other option was putting Lamie there but I still wake up at night in a cold sweat about his previous apps. The young guy has developed well and I've thoroughly enjoyed both wing backs getting up the pitch. I wonder if Penney got injured as he seemed feature regularly after joining Charlton then disappeared.

If Killie or United lost today you couldn't help but feel we would be safe and sound. It was typical how each team scored within minutes of each other and Killie look on course to win their first away game of the season.

Killie two up on Midden now. Hibs have equalised against St Johnstone.

St Johnstone have just sacked Callum Davidson, St J starting to sweat over recent form.

The frustrating fine margins of a game. If Van Veen buried his chance you feel that we would have won that comfortably. Even Furlong passed up a great chance, if only the young chap had more composure. Their keeper had a habit of dropping crosses to his feet it was annoying that we didn't pick up on that. Whats the script on the penalty incident, I thought the second looked much of muchness, a point Kelly seemed to be suggesting to Nick Walsh.

Hopefully we can pile on the misery today for Goodwin and Co, it's been great to enjoy the footy for the past month or so. I think we will pump them but I'll take the three points anyway we can get them. Hopefully shoot on sight is the instruction with that goalie they have.

There were some horrific VAR calls across the board over the weekend in the other games but they actually benefited us. Nick Walsh is a poor referee, in the game we got pumped 6-1 by Rangers, he gave Stephen O'Donnell two yellows for the only two fouls he made but that Balogun for instance committed a similar foul that went unpunished and he then racked up 5 or 6 more and not even a word was spoken, I felt that was similar again with Cantwell. While we won free kicks in the middle area of the park he wasn't particularly interested in giving us anything in danger zones. They certainly always enjoy the benefit of doubt. The Goldson dive in the first half was hilarious. I know they can't do anything about it as VAR can only intervene in certain circumstances but you wonder if the officials watching in the wee room let refs know if they make a general error. I thought we defended well up until the Tavernier free kick, while Rangers enjoyed plenty of possession it was nice to see them resort to long balls and loads of their crosses kept going out of play. However it was sad that we shot ourselves in the foot. After we equalised it was a real shame that Van Veen missed his effort. I know Kettlewell has asked for clarification on VAR but doubt we will hear.

Is that more conjecture? The young ones had a big banner displayed at the front and back of their section pre match which ran the full length, Rangers fans placed their protest cards on the seats pre match. No one group got more access than the other.

That was not the case, a group of them set up the protest cards as soon as they were allowed to enter the stadium. In the Fir Park section and the two sections on either side, you can see the cards being setup.

You constantly post on the forum with apparent in the know knowledge but you generally don't back up your claims and if anyone has a different opinion you belittle them. When arrests were made from the Killie game, I seen the statements from the group suggesting one of the guys wasn't in the country. Has that been proven, because that old chestnut is used frequently when the cops come calling. I'm going back almost a decade here but when Celtic fans tore up the South Stand, when they were subjected to dawn raids that was the same spiel used. It's seldom I have been privy to any Motherwell scoops or insider info but through my work I'm well versed to the goings on with this group amongst other similar things, even putting that to the side all the fans have eyes and see half of the antics they get up too. It seems like they just throw the toys out the pram when they don't get their own way. The player analogy was simply to highlight if you do something wrong then you have to pay the price, tear up a business but play the victim card won't get you much support from the club or fellow fans. In fact I actually find some away days not as enjoyable these days if you get landed near them, they hang about until around three to gather then muscle into a section, this season they have forced a section to be opened at Raith, Killie and Livi. Not much a protest today either as they gathered up the back, with many running down the stairs on the 3rd minute at the goal.

You would be surprised what I know on this issue but I'll leave that as vague as you do with your insider gossip. It kind of reminds me of that time where a supporter lamps Jim Leighton on the pitch then he gets huckled by the police then days later when he gets banned for life he's complaining in a paper that the club didn't support him. The situation in Kilmarnock was embarrassing while it's sad an innocent person might have had an unpleasant wakeup call no accountability was taken on that behaviour they immediately passed the buck when people started to get busted. It's not hard to just behave for 90 minutes at the game or en route to a stadium. Like I said previously I loved it in the past when they were all about the atmosphere. Please correct me if I'm wrong but have they not now had issues with the last few safety officers. In regards to banners etc the club has generally been accommodating to them much more so than other clubs are to there fans. Have they not a similar protest before where they strolled in late, plus I'm sure they done something against Aberdeen in the first VAR game where they threw that ticker tape stuff on the pitch.
