  1. Suspect we’ll see Kelly, O’Donnell, Gent, McGinn, Mugabi, Casey, Miller (Davor if not fit), Halliday, Spittal, Vale & Bair. Expecting a 0-0 or 1-1 draw.
  2. Is McGinn injured? Can’t see us starting without him in the line up!
  3. Massive credit to every single well fan that endured that place again today! You deserve to party tonight!
  4. What a bloody result. Played well 2nd half on Wednesday night, but didn’t see this coming! Biggest thing about it is we can push aside any concerns of relegation and start looking up the way! What a day!
  5. Well done Stuart Kettlewell! Fully expected us to come out 2nd half, continue to move the ball slowly allowing Livi to all get behind the ball, then lose another one on the break. However we completed changed the tempo in the 2nd half, not only by bringing on Vale, who was involved in nearly everything good we did, but by pulling Miller back into that more defensive role where he can ping passes about, I think it suits him much more. Great 2nd half and some cracking goals. With Miller, Vale, Spittal and Bair now surely certainties to play we’re starting to see a way of playing that works for us.
  6. It’s the hope that kills you 😩
  7. Looks like I’m in the minority here, but I’d still be starting Kelly. I’d also stick with Butcher if fit, Mugabi if not, and keep Casey on the left of the 3. The rest I agree with, although you could make a case for Halliday over Miller given that Miller’s just returning from a long spell out.
  8. Agreed, but more difficult for us as fans to know who is at fault when we’re zonal! Lol Very simplistic and a bit old school, but I’ve always preferred the “he’s your man make sure he doesn’t score” approach! Although I do get man for man has it’s downside also with players getting blocked off etc
  9. As some others have said, I thought we did pretty well for 66 mins, defended well, restricted them to very few opportunities, and had the best chances on the break, Miller’s in particular. Very soft foul given for the 1st goal, but I’m not sure Mugabi was the only one to blame for Shankland’s free header, I think Casey is every bit as culpable, as is the decision to go zonal and not man for man. Anyway between them they can’t leave the top scorer in the league with that amount of space 12 yards out. The 2nd goal, we’re obviously chasing it at that point, they get an overload on our left and then O’Donnell’s weak attempt to get to the ball combined with a great touch and finish, and it was game over. A few positives to take, Kelly made a few decent saves towards the end and looked more steady in general, Vale looks like he’ll be a good player for us. 1st goal apart Casey played well. I know there’s a lot of chat about who is our best back 3 (or least worst), I think we need to get back to McGinn, Butcher and Casey as quickly as possible. I know Butcher hasn’t been great but I prefer him to the other options we have in that area. Assuming we lose next week, that Livi game is going to be huge, particularly given Ross C have a couple of winnable home games between now and then!
  10. From the clip I’ve seen on social media I can’t believe thats been disallowed. Have watched it a few times thinking I must be missing something…
  11. Is there a single one amongst us that still thinks we’ll get 3 points tonight? Hope I’m wrong but I would take a point right now and head down the road.
  12. Ya beauty! Just need to hold on for 85 mins + now!
  13. Oh man, another tough one to take. Pathetic 1st half performance, coupled with another gift of a goal. Played like we expected to just turn up and roll them over, was never going to be the case with the run they’ve been on. Bemused by the lack of subs at half time, could have taken just about anyone off, however O’Donnell and Miller should have been hooked imo, O’Donnell was terrible and Miller look very rusty. We then end up throwing subs on in a very unorganised way, completely losing any shape. Frustrating they weren’t very good either, just more committed and better organised. Vale the only bright spark on very dark night again for the club.
  14. It at least gives us a bit of cover, as we were looking very light. Personally I don’t think he’s anywhere near as bad as some others on here, and with a few more mins may offer us something.
  15. Weather forecast looks pretty ropy over the next 24 hrs, anyone any idea when this would be played if tomorrow night is postponed? Planning on heading down with my daughter, but probably wouldn't be able to make a rearranged game, so holding off on buying tickets at the moment.
  16. Has to be Bair, looks like a different player from the start of the season. Really well taken goal, ran Killie defence ragged and held the ball up well. As others have said, special mention for McGinn who never put a foot wrong, won ever header, and that tackle 👊🏼
  17. As others have said, deeply concerning for the window to have closed leaving us with Bair, Vale and Obika as our only striking options. I get things have conspired somewhat against us with Biereth being recalled, and Killie blowing us out the water for KVV, however the decision not to push the boat out and get a deal done for someone better than what we have may come back to bite us come May time. Sincerely hope I’m wrong.
  18. Not convinced we’ll see a CH coming in, and I’m not sure we need it given that we have McGinn, Butcher, Mugabi, Blaney & Casey, with O’Donnell also able to play on the right of a 3 if need be. 2 strikers and someone that can play wide left (if Montgomery’s season is a right off) would be what I’d be after now if poss.
  19. As most have said, thought we were by far the better team yesterday and if we had any kind of quality up front with Bair we’d surely have been walking away with the 3 points. Some horrific refereeing, particularly in the first half did us no favours, but Paton absolutely needs to take at least one of his two chances in the second half. There are encouraging signs but we have to get at least 4 points from the next two home games before we go to Aberdeen and Hearts, followed by Celtic at FP.
  20. Agree with most, thought McGinn had a cracking game. Won just about every header he went for, was tidy on the deck, and was good going forward.
  21. Market conditions 😂 Have any of our rivals managed to bring strikers in?
  22. I think I’ve got firm grip, thanks. 🙂 I might be over simplifying, but I suspect we’re speaking to agents/clubs of 4/5, maybe more strikers to try and get deals done, and I, like everyone else expects we’ll bring 1 or 2 in before the window closes next week. My point was I hope we don’t regret not pushing a little hard or paying a little more to get one of those over the line prior to today. I also get that not all of the circumstances are within our control but if having 1 fit recognised striker (who’s quality is questionable), prior to playing one of your main relegation rivals away from home isn’t the time to make sure you push a deal over the line, then I think you’re taking a gamble.
  23. Now a full 8 days since Arsenal recalled Mika and still no news on a forward coming in. Very very concerning particularly given when you consider Wilkinson was already away, we knew Obika was injury prone, and we must have known we were allowing Shaw to head back to his parent club i.e we should have already been identifying targets. Shocked we haven’t brought someone in before tomorrow’s trip to Perth given the importance of playing a team that will be one of our main rivals to avoid relegation. I was convinced we would bring someone yesterday or today. Big gamble to not have done. I sincerely hope Kettlewell has a couple of rabbits up his sleeve before the window closes.
  24. I could see Mugabi up front if we’re chasing a game, as a last resort, throw the kitchen sink type approach, but if we ever start a game with him up front heads need to roll.
  25. If reports are to be believe and Montgomery is out, I suspect we’ll see Gent moved back to LWB and Miller/Halliday/Nicholson (whoever is fittest) coming in. I’d bite your hand off for a point given the state we’re in with injuries and incomplete recruitment. Would love to know what the plan is if Bair gets injured at some point today/tomorrow!? Hope to hell we have one….. Next 3 are huge, could really be doing with taking 5/6 points minimum. Particularly when you look at how tough the 3 after that are (on paper at least).
