  1. Might sound daft since he's at financially troubled Hearts, but could we afford his wages?
  2. It's Ojamma I miss. Our most creative spark last season. As much as I loved Higdon, Higdon wouldn't have got his player of the year award without him. If you didn't forget about him, it's ridiculous you omitted him from that list and include the last 3.
  3. Maybe suggests that we can't extend Anier's loan after January?
  4. I'll hopefully be there, this will be my first game in a month. That's far too long a wait. Will be a hard, close game probably finishing with 1 goal in it to either side!
  5. At Castle Greyskull aswell!
  6. Jeezus, a reckon big hutchy would be the fastest player in that team! If we're wanting to hit them on the breaks then that team isn't the answer. Can see McCall going the usual 4-5-1 for an Old Firm opposition, although i'd continue with the 4-4-2. I'd bench Angol and play Faddy for more experience, Angols decision making at times on Saturday was poor with balls given away too easily. I'd keep the Sutton/Anier partnership upfront as they are causing problems. I'd start Ainsworth on the right for the pacey counter attacks. Only problem with dropping Angol is leaving Hammell exposed as he's not been his best recently. My team would be : Hollis Usual back 4. Ainsworth Carswell Lasley McFadden Sutton Anier. I reckon McCall will drop Anier though and put Lawson in to steady the midfield for his 4-5-1. Hopefully come away with a point at least!
  7. Only ever got off at Livi South mate, but it's a fair trek if you're walking. 20 mins maybe more? Never got off at Livi North mind you.
  8. Teams are out : Motherwell: Hollis, Hammell, Ramsden, Hutchinson, McManus, Sutton, Vigurs, Lasley, Francis-Angol, Carswell, Anier Motherwell subs: Nielsen, McFadden, Lawson, Cummins, Kerr, Ainsworth, McHugh
  9. I don't even know what to say about that today to be honest. 15 year old lad getting penned into a toilet and strip searched is not on. At least 40 in Uniform plus undercover for a group of lads supporting your team, not on. Undercover police who just happened to be "passing by" is too far. Being kettled in bu said 40 and getting told to leave in 2's for the police to either take your name/arrest/search you is not on. A completely ridiculous situation for us to be in today. I hope most Motherwell fans actually see our side of things on this issue and most continue to back us. Already seen some idiot tweeting "ban the drum and the well bois until they learn to behave". The police actually aggravated the whole situtation with an un-needed heavy handed approach. Anyway on the game, as i said, it was scrappy. Craig Thompson was his usual bombscare self, the penalty decision was actually ridiculous, also there was a decision that went the wrong way with the thrown in that i can recall, but from his position it would be hard to see. Highlight of the game, bar the goal? Zaine's bit of trickery down at the corner flag in the second half was top notch. Lasley MOTM aswell!
  10. Problem is trying to find the guy! Ramsden and Kerr out, right back will be a problem. Who is their left winger nowadays? Always a scrappy game through there so i'll be happy with a solid 1-0 win.

    Jim Gannon

Am i right in saying, during that horrific Dunfermline game, Reynolds actually got shown his first card of his career in the Motherwell first team?
  12. Anyone know when the 3rd round ties will be played?

  15. Thanks to those who purchased the fanzine yesterday at the game, online or in Jack Daniels after the game. Hope yous all enjoyed it! Cheers.
  16. For everyone after their copy of SIWY issue 3 this weekend at the match vs Partick Thistle on Saturday, you will be able to buy your copy from our usual outlets; Cooper stand gates on the corner, at the bottom of the stairs after the turnstiles in the East and in the end section by the drum. Additionally copies will be available in both Jack Daniels and the Electric Bar, just look out for one of the guys. Online sales have been busy so far, so move quick on Saturday or order online beforehand to avoid missing out. "Since I Was Young..."
  17. Lawson has to come back in on Saturday. Hollis will start in goals again and there is no reason why he shouldn't. Same back 4? For me, no i'd drop Hammell and give Angol a game at left back. He might no have travelled far but Hammells inclusion in the Scotland squad could mean he's a wee bit tired. Although, imo he should be dropped for last week's performance. Team for me : Hollis Ramsden Hutchy McManus Angol Lasley Lawson Vigurs Anier Sutton McFadden A 4-5-1 pushing into a 4-3-3 when on the attack. Will be a tough game but our record up there gives me no reason to believe we can come home with the 3 points in the bag.
  18. Can see it being a tough game, reckon Johnny Hayes will give Ramsden a horror show. Would make one change from Sunday and that is Anier in for McHugh.
  19. By the sounds of things, this mob have been an absolute nightmare to deal with. Pesky Russians!
  20. Our bus/train would still leave at 8am!
  21. Would go with : Hollis Ramsden Hutchy McManus Hammell Lawson Carswell Vigurs Faddy Sutton McHugh Always a tough place to go, would be happy with a point.
