  1. apart from gifting them their first goal?
  2. kuban were miles better than us and won easily. People said levante were poor last year but the reality is players at that level know they can beat us at 75% so they won't go all out to impress. Sunday is the test for us
  3. is it not larry blackmon from cameo?
  4. mcmanus won't be cheap so there was obviously money there. We've signed 7 players, extended 3 and brought in a loan recently so the funds have been available to build a squad. it's all down to whether the manager has signed the correct balance.
  5. it also means that we haven't signed anyone with the potential to develop and sell on. Four guys in their second spell at the club and two who want to live in the area for family reasons. We need to be casting the net a bit wider.
  6. kenny black in the sun saying this will be our last signing. It'll be a poor reflection on mccall as a manager if we don't sign a winger.
  7. i don't think this game was aimed at only bournemouth fans. there would have been plenty of people at that game who couldn't name the bournemouth players.
  8. consistently shite. did you see him play last season?
  9. did a russian guy not mention a hotel a few pages back in thread?
  10. funnily enough when i enquired about antics at morecambe it was the two of you who were mentioned. sounds like a good time was had by all.
  11. i agree with what ya beezer said this morning that it would be pretty pish if you were just guaranteed to be playing teams from the same half dozen countries every year. everyone knows what is involved when you enter the competition and where you might end up, altering the format of the competition to make it easier for us to get a piss up doesn't really make sense. i've never heard of a tie being cancelled because one of the teams couldn't find the money to travel so the 90,000 euros must be enough for teams from the likes of armenia and the faroes to get where they are going. if £1200 is the per person cost of the charter then it must be costing the club about £40,000 roughly?
  12. what's it got to do with uefa?
  13. i think there is a bit of creative accounting going on there. They might have spent more than the 90,000 euros getting to and from turkey but they still made money off tickets for the home leg and selling the game to turkish tv.
  14. he's our only mobile midfielder at the moment so i hope he can lock down a starting spot. I watched the first half of the kuban game before heading to cowdenbeath on saturday and their centremid kabore was running the show. I doubt lasley, lawson or vigurs have the legs to get near him.
  15. we still need at least two players. bob took his two goals well on saturday but his all round performance didn't suggest that we can count on him to lead the line if sutton is unavailable. we definitely need another striker as well as a winger .
  16. is stalker named after the tarkovsky film?
  17. blackpool just bought caddis from swindon so they must be looking at him for midfield. I'd take him back on reduced wages quite happily.
  18. there were two black guys playing in the first half. one was zaine, the other was the french trialist. the portugese trialist came on at halftime for the frog.
  19. what about the french guy in the first half?
  20. i agree about thomas and murray but i thought erwin was decent as well. Was that their first team?
  21. this is the boy that refused to help them put up the aerotent thing they had outside the ground for training? he has been mentioned on P&B a few times as above basically good player shite attitude.
  22. Chris Gadi N'Kiasala (born 9 April 1992 in Ris Orangis) is a French football player who plays for French club US Boulogne on loan from Ligue 1 side Marseille. He plays primarily as a striker, though his influence can extend out to the wings and the attacking midfield positions. Gadi is a France youth international having represented his nation at under-17 and under-18 level. He played with the under-17 team at the 2009 UEFA European Under-17 Football Championship. Gadi made his professional debut on 17 December 2011 in a 2–1 win over Lorient appearing as a substitute.[3] His father is a fan of Marseille and, subsequently, named his son after former Marseille player and England international Chris Waddle.[4 good pedigree if nothing else.
  23. toni silva is on trial, portugese winger. chris gadi, french striker from marseille. can't find any info about the scottish guy jack smith.
  24. since most of the decent sides are concentrated in western europe it would be a bit unfair. they give every club enough money to travel and outwith a few countries there aren't many fans who want to travel for these games.
