Main’s flick to Frear was one of the very few things that actually worked/stuck for him. I think a lot of people are fed up of him constantly jostling with defenders instead of trying to keep the ball. That and his poor finishing. I think Robinson deserves a bit of credit for the change of style. Many a manager would have been too stubborn to change and would have ended up with the sack - which would have enventually have come if he hadn’t attempted to change it.
