Scottish Cup Final Fans Display Thread

All the till rolls arrived today and will be dished out tomorrow inside the stadium.

Delighted to let you know that the authorities at Hampden are supportive of this and I would like to thank the MFC Advisory Comittee and Alan Marshall for their help because without this who knows exactly where we would stand.

I know a lot of people on this forum, maybe even myself included were maybe sceptical about the Advisory Comittee but in this instance they have been nothing but helpful and kudos to Stephen for playing a large role in this project.

Just so you know, the till rolls have a wee sticky bit on them so if you peel this off before you throw them it will help create the streamer approach. Look forward to seeing the display and hopefully a 'Well victory!!!

Looking forward to seeing the display in action, i'm sure it will be an awesome scene. Well done to all involved. Great to also hear all the proper authoritities are supportive, had a feeling all this effort could have been wasted. Can't wait :woop:

We were glad to help where we could, in this instance it was to aid attaining official sanction from the various authorities to proceed without any impediment on Saturday. Dee's group have also been given permission to distribute the items inside the ground opposed to outside ensuring everything they bring with them will definitely be used. Also, the planned display can be targeted for maximum impact and atmosphere.

It is safe to say that everyone associated with the club supports your motives and plans to ensure attending games is exciting, memorable and addictive is in everyone's long term interest.

Alan Marshall (Safety & Facilities Manager) deserves particular note for the extensive preparation and negotiation over the past few days.

However, we would like to express particular thanks to the leading members of this group, they exhibited a genuine understanding and empathy with the regulatory hoops the club has to jump through in the current climate.

A number of fans should also remember they fell a little short in reaching the £1,000 target as they adhered to potential restrictions with respect to ceasing collections outside Fir Park until attaining a licence from North Lanarkshire Council. The club have already given permission for future collections with the associated council permit. Some members have financed the shortfall themselves in the interim and this should be remembered and commended.

was okay to start with then it just died of death

In a more compact, busier environment it would have looked top notch. As it was, it was a great touch.

Not too sure the St Johnstone fans knew what was going on. They were, just like their team, outclassed today.

To whoever organised this - well done. Obviously liaising with the club was the right way to go. It certainly added to the atmosphere.

Hopefully you can organise something for the big day itself! Maybe some collections at the next 2 home games?

Good on you.

Anyone see the Real Madrid fans display against Barca at the weekend when they held up the coloured cards?

With the right co-ordination and more help from the club could we not get an A3 amber card put on every seat with the claret ones strategically placed to create a huge MFC in club colours and it would also help create a sea of colour during the match as well!!

Would look stunning on the tele

Aye, I think ideally that would be something we'd look to do, but it needs alot of work, alot of money and alot of people to join in. There's alot of people who won't join in on such a thing sadly. We'd need three full sections to make that work.
