Post Match Feedback For Mfc

In an attempt to be helpful I'm flagging up a couple of post match issues. Overall I though the arrangements on the day went pretty smoothly and they should be seen in that context.

1) Celtic fan removed from the South Stand. After the first goal quite a few fans around him became agitated and pointed him out to stewards and the Police who seemed reluctant to act. Eventually they conceded however and the culprit was escorted out. Will the club be able to identify who bought it and take any necessary action? Will the culprit be "blacklisted" in some way by the club, Celtic and the SFA?

2) Heard on the bus on the way to the game that official Celtic buses were being allowed to park for free at Hampden but our official buses were being charged £10. Is this true and if so what is being done to challenge the SFA about it?

Anyway thanks to Leeann and all the office staff at Fir Park. A thankless task to distribute so many tickets in a short space of time. Hopefully they can enjoy a wee break now although season ticket sales will be occupying their attention. Now that the Final is out of the way and the office is quieter I'll renew mine.

Good point about blacklisting those that either supplied the tickets to the celtic fans or the actual individuals themselves.

I had two sat right beside me for the first half. Had my suspicions from the off, but was only able to confirm when the lassie picked up a bag under her seat which what looked like a celtic top in it! I can supply their seating numbers if the club want, and i am sure other can do like wise. It might not be a huge issue, but what happens the next time they use a ballot, and those two are listed as genuine fans? How they managed to get past police and stewards and carry the bag into our end is beyond a joke. Not as if there was not spare seats away from our fans.

As for buses, organised chaos springs to mind. The culprits being the police. Is it so hard to ensure all buses are located in same area, after all they were quick enough to ensure we followed a set route to the stadium. Total lottery i am sure for many in finding their buses.

I would be interested to know what song would have been played had we scored. Celtic got their 'just can't get enough' belted out, did the SFA ask us for ours? Hopefully we had one lined up ready to go, but the pessimist in me thinks that the Old Firm were getting their tunes at a neutral venue and the rest get nothing.

Aye that surprised me as well. Bit disappointed with it. Done to 'create atmosphere' but as one of the opposing fans it did stick in the craw a bit.

I'm sure this is standard procedure, no' sure though

Bus I went on from Fir Park seemed to run smoothly apart from being pulled over by Strathclyde Police and having to park a good walk away from the stadium when from what I understood was that all MFC buses were being instructed to park at the national stadium. In no way from my understanding was this anyone at MFC's fault. I do feel that it should be brought to someones attention at the police. I know other MFC buses were also in the same boat as ours. Aswell as this I understand as alot of people had gathered around our bus after the game but it seemed that a few of the buses seemed to move and park elsewhere after having dropped the fans off at a certain point, this should never have happened and is just asking for trouble with people missing buses left, right and centre. My only other wee moan would be as to why the DC stand wasn't open for fans to sit and enjoy a beer before hand. I was there early doors and it wasn't there from 11 till we left as I went to the pub for a bit so if it did happen to open forget this comment but from what I seen the stand did not open like we were informed that it would.

Overall I enjoyed my day out, thank you all at MFC and lets hope we don't have to wait 20 years before we get another Scottish Cup final!!

The actual stand itself (in terms of the bit where the seats are) was never intended to be open mate. But the doors into the stand were open all morning and the pie shops were serving beer and fruit-based alcoholic drinks for the ladies from 11am.
