34 games to go...

Sexy as fuck!

Just back from the game - celebrations from the players when that ball hit the net, brilliant to watch. Phenomanal scenes.

1001 away fans - pretty top notch as well.

Not much to comment on the game, other than St Midden will finish about 6th with that sort of performance - they are far better than the dross of St J, Dunfermline, Aberdeen etc - and as such 3 points there is brilliant, as many teams will drop points there.

Special mention to Forbes, didnt look out of place, filled in for Las brilliantly. My MotM, put himself about very well, not scared to tackle, good effort (and maybe his fitness has improved?). A couple of tired passes in the last 5mins, but that is allowed. Nearly scored a wonder goal as well, that Samson done well to divert.

All round good performance.

Top of the table - fucking magic!

Delighted with that result. What a strike by TH.

Not overly enamoured with the performanc mind you. Some nice stuff played but St's and they had a lot of possesion. Our forward three where poor altogh we did create 4 or 5 good chances

Humphrey was rotten, looks injured and should have been pulled after bout 60 mins, if we had anyone else to bring on of course. Higdon wasnt allowed to play by Brines and seemed scared to take the ball into his feet and hold up play, his second touch was nearly a tackle every time. Murphy was wasted out wide left, the FB had him pegged that he was going to cut inside every time and cut out the supply very well.

Nicky Law was the pick of the midfield, should have scored in the first half after being 1-1 with samson but both Craggs and Hutch were immense. Won everything in the air and there blocks and clearing headers where tremendous.

Mention also to Forbes, had a solid game and very rarely gave possesion way. Also his rasper of a strike would have been a beauty if Samson hadnt got a hand to it. Defo justified his incusion bnut as a few folk mentioned previously the lack of mobility with him and Jenno was pretty obvious to see when it came to closing play down.

Great support through today. Wellboys where top class again.

All in all a very good result and delighted to be the first to beat that mob.

Great first half, would like to see our early chances again, the view of the other box is quite shit from near the front of that stand!

They were all over us in the second half, back 4 done well to keep solid and boot everything that came their way back out the box. Shame those clearances weren't getting to our forwards.

Higdon looked pretty isolated, couldn't quite understand why McCall swapped Law and Murphy? Murphy seemed a bit wasted on the wing, and Law was often too deep to really be supporting Higdon.

Forbes played a fuckin blinder, well done to the boy. And he's obviously not lost his eye for goal in his absence!.

Humphrey was anonymous for most the game which is worrying, just when we thought both wings were a threat he just isn't getting the breaks. Hope he turns the corner next week and rips Naismith a new hole.

Hateley was great again today, much more confident as you could see- running at folk down the wing, getting the ball in early and of course scoring THAT goal. Felt brilliant when it went in, the stand for rocking! Brilliant atmosphere for the fans and players. Hope we can tear Rangers apart next week, and keep them out too! Mon the Well!

Just interested to know what those who were there made of the formation change to 4-3-3 as reported to the BBC before the game by McCall.

Was that responsible for St. Mirren's 1st half dominance? Did they play well, us poor? Or are they just a better team than they were last season and everyone has underestimated them?

Love to speak to Chick Young and advise him his prediction for Danny Lennon for August Manager of the Month is long gone.

4 games in, no goals conceded, 10 out of 12 points, there's yer dinner!
