Was sent a signed top & as usual you can't read the signatures but each signature has a squad number beside it. It really does show the challenge facing us this season. I counted maybe 16 recognised first team players (including Page and McHugh). Hearts, on the other hand, I counted around 23 players and that's not counting the likes of Gary Glen who has probably started more games than McHugh and Page put together.. I have the same concern, I'd say our starting 11, plus Forbes and saunders, missing one of yours. We actually aren't too bad if we lose 1 in defence or midfield, as hately and Saunders are versatile, and Forbes can come in. But after murphy and higdon, it's untried inexperienced kids. Gaz Posted August 10, 2011 Report Share Posted August 10, 2011 I don't really have any concerns about or squad, outside the our 13 or 14 regular first teamers, being "untried, inexperienced kids". Maybe Lawless, Pollock or Halsman could be a game changer, we don't know because they've never been given a chance. The club have spent a fair chunk of our player budget over the last couple of seasons to either offer full-time pro or more luctrative existing full-time pro deals to these guys so we should give them a chance to see what they can do. If it doesn't work out then fair-do's. They will get released at the end of the season when their deals expire and we get new players in.
