It's utterly amazing - not to mention quite hilarious - to think this game finally got the go-ahead on the same day Britain was at a complete standstill after experiencing its worst blizzards for 25 years. According to a fellow Motherwell fan on one of the websites, Blantyre was looking like a scene from Doctor Zhivago and my Plan B-lunch with a pal - had already been cancelled as he was snowed-in on the outskirts of Glasgow.Remarkably, though, a football park in the frozen north was deemed playable ... and the visitors won 3-0.

Conclusive proof, surely, that God is definitely a Motherwell fan.

From Tam Cowan's column - must be true! :whistling:

Tom Green did know who Motherwell were, 'Flow emailed him on his site and asked and he replied sayin yeah because he had family from the area or something, and thats how he got the top.

Paul Oakenfold is also a 'Well fan, theres an interview with him online somewhere where he talks about it...im sure a wee google would find it.

You sure he is a Well fan, seen him in public once just after the BBC Alba premier but was too shy to ask for his autograph

Ha ha ha! I've adopted a lower media profile of late, that's all!

Just because you are a well fan and happen to be famous does not mean that you need to tell the whole world the team you support. Most famous people can't get to every game due to other commitments, so the ones that are seen with there team colours in the press are all artificial supporters. This only happens if you support Celtic, for some reason famous people seem to like being linked with them.

Mainstays of the house music scene, eg, Oakenfold and Mike Pickering of Hacienda and later M People fame to name a few have been welcomed to the fold courtesy of Motherwells' resident club/festival promoter.

The infamous Ryder and Bez were rumoured to be running about Loch Lomond clad in claret and amber last summer!
