They got a clean sheet!

Only because Rovers' finishing was dreadful. They should have been 3 down after 30 minutes as Raith walked through their defence but hit it wide or straight at the goalie. Throughout the game their attempts at clearances continually found Raith players in space around the box.

Admittedly, the biggest sitter of the night was from a Thistle player who somehow managed to knock the ball over from a few yards.

Chris Erskine, who's off to United, was probably Thistle's best player.

Was Erskine not on McCalls radar at one point? I remember saying to my Thistle supporting mate that we were looking at Erskine and he was worried about losing him.

Did Forbes play?

Listened to a bit on the radio - Forbes was subbed later on and Lawless took his place! Derek Ferguson and Billy dodds agreed that

Forbes was a good player, but would be more effective playing the simple ball rather than a defence splitting pass all the time; compared him to a young Charlie Adam.........slow and fat ?

Fuck going to the pub with a c**t like you.

Bit of an over reaction. I'm glad you took on board the full stops though.

Did Forbes play?

He stood out from the rest in terms of his control but his lack of pace still means he was getting caught on the ball. Can still deliver a good ball but he wasn't too influential and was taken off for Lawless whose direct running made a real impact.

I think Forbes will be a squad player for Thistle next season and will no doubt score against us!
