Dundee Vs Motherwell..

getting wins away from home when we were playing poorly was a big part of our success last year so it's a good sign that we can still do it. the team showed their character away in greece and spain and it was the same today, their heads stayed up even although very little was going for us.

at the start of the game it looked like our sole tactic was to get the ball out to humphrey but after about 15 mins it was clear it wasn't going to be his day and we looked short of ideas. the hateley lasley partnership didn't work very well and we had no threat on the left hand side of the park at all. there is a lot of work for mccall do this week.

ojaama should have came on at halftime and bringing on omar rather than sticking murphy out wide left was a strange one but you don't expect much else from our substitutions these days.

Patchy performance today. Good result.

Game changed when Henrik came on and we had a player capable of some direct running instead of sideways, sideways turn backwards.

They are pretty poor.

Higdon had a great game today, there centre back couldn't cope with him at all. Shame he had no support until Henrik came on.

Still top of the league, woop woop.

Funny how in recent times if Celtic or (Old)Rangers went to places like Dens and won ugly like we did today it was always the hallmark of championship winning teams to"come from behind" and "keep fighting" and "Playing right to the final whistle" etc. etc.

loooked kind of windy today? did that affect the game? Thought it was scrappy game but as always 3 points welcome however we can get them.

Yeah it was and both teams seemed to cope better against it.

Love him or loathe him and I can be his fiercest critic, you've got to admire big Higgy. Was really unlucky not to score successive hat-tricks (his first half shot of the post looked in all the way). Wait till you see his second, what a bullet header thumbup.gif

They're relegation fodder, but happy to come away with the points, despite a below-par performance.

Good day out and really pleased the way the fans stuck with it after some rubbish ai the first half. Higgy hitting the post gave us some hope at half time. The gaffer eventually realised that Hateley was not cutting it in midfield, sacrificed one at the back and and introduced Henrik to run at them.

A good result today in what was always going to be a very tricky game. Great to see Higgy come good and notch an important brace for us. I think Dundee will now start to pick up points but thankfully it wasn't against us.

Credit to Stuart McCall and Kenny Black for masterminding the win. Their changes although a wee bit late paid off and turned the game.

Ojamma turned this game yesterday. Direct and pacy and they couldn't cope.

It was obvious he was desperate to get on during his warm up.

We urgently need a replacement for Jennings, as Hately isn't a midfielder. Strangely enough, when he ended up at R.B. he was superb in the tackle and in distribution.

Anyway, well done to the team for sticking at it yesterday and thought the support were brilliant yesterday.

Great 3 points.

We urgently need a replacement for Jennings....

Very true Alan, Jennings is being badly missed. Keith Lasley was never the fastest player and he's now 32. Central midfield needs bolstering badly. Now that we have Hately and Fraser Kerr to vie for the right back slot I'd be tempted to try out Simon Ramsden in that position until we can sign someone. We do have the comfort though of being looking to strengthen from a position of strength ie first place.
