Anyone heard anything on ticket sales - has the south stand been opened?

Went for 2 tickets for the East today and could only get one in the row in front of the other as there's only really single seats left there now.

The girl at the ticket office said she would put the number at about 5500 - 6000 just now but they were expecting a rush tomorrow because they are selling right up until kick off. She also mentioned the club had set a target of 6000.

I will bet my reputation on this forum (I know, high stakes eh?) that we don't get gubbed tomorrow!

We will win, 4-1. thumbup.gif

On the waccy baccy more like. Obviously never read my post where they had not lost in their last 15 games....

I hope we do not get gubbed, but no way will we win 4-1 or by 3 clear goals...

Let's suggest that Celtic were playing Kuban, instead of us.

Would we, from a (semi-)neutral, point of view, be expecting them to win this game, in Scotland? Or would we be expecting a scraped victory, a scraped draw, or a likely defeat?

Most likely, we'd expect a Celtic win.

However, are we so far behind Celtic at this point (especially at Fir Park, where, remember, we did beat them twice last year [and I'm well aware of our player turnover]) that the best we can hope for is, essentially, "not to get gubbed", and other such thoughts?

I'm not for a minute suggesting that we 'should' beat them, but the attitude that the best we can hope for is not to be crushingly defeated is really grinding my gears.

Especially considering that we so often lambast the team for being "beaten before they even go on the park", I think that some people should maybe look at not hauling us down as far as we can go before we even get to the game.

Seems like most people, on here, are agreed on 8 starters although not necessarily on what role they should be played in

Nielsen

Ramsden

McManus

Hutchinson

Hammell

Lasley

Vigurs

McFadden

Not a bad bunch of players by any means.

So now the puzzle is selecting the remaining 3 out of these, still pretty decent players.

Lawson

Carswell

ZFA

McHugh

Sutton

Anier

I have a feeling that McCall my actually have 2 team selections in his head. One for the first part of the game to try and keep it tight then a more attacking formation to go for goals in the second half or last 30 mins of the game. So perhaps McFadden may not start since you would really want him in the "going for goals" line up

I think we may see along the lines of

Nielson

Ramsden McManus Hutchinson Hammell

Carswell Lawson Lasley Vigurs ZFA

McHugh

The changing to below for the second half or last 30 mins

Nielson

Ramsden McManus Hutchinson Hammell

McFadden Vigurs Lasley ZFA

Sutton McHugh( Maybe Anier )

This may be a lot of shite but no one to talk to about the game so got to vent my pent up anticipation in writing on here

Cmon Ye 'well 2 - 0 for the good guys

I thought Lawson had a cracking game vs Forrest so must start - broke the play up, always found his man and helped us keep possession.

I would go with anier - appreciate he's new but so is Sutton to most of the midfield and Henri can run and put pressure on them all night. Sutton will win flick ons etc but unless Henri also starts or we push faddy right up in fear he'd be on his arse half the time trying to hold the ball up. Sutton maybe to come off the bench if we're still in it for longer balls, set plays or 2 strikers later in the game.

McCall looking for faddy to provide the spark but looked way off the pace in pre season so lets hope he's a bit sharper, big game with no doubt spur him on. Maybe play him off front man so we don't need to rely on him tracking back as much.

Zfa - only player who looks to offer width & pace. Depends on where we play faddy.

It's right side that troubles me a bit - Ramsden looks to be still settling at right back, doesn't seem to be able to get up and down the park as much as hately could or Kerr, and no real right mid.

Remember last season when Celtic opened the scoring yet we ended up beating them 3-1?

Even if Kuban score, I think we will have a chance of at least going into the second league with something to play for.

What we have to do is make sure we don't concede more than one.

whilst we would all like to see a 433 or a 451 attacking lineup, and with all the suggestions being made - i think we all need to rethink or not be disappointed when we turn up tonight

McCall has made it clear he will be playing 3 CBs and 2 WBs

whilst i think this can work well for some teams - it works well for St Mirren, they dont let teams play - for us, I dont think it works (yet) our wing backs don't provide enough width when we go forward (its a c*nt of a shift for anyone who has to do it, but if thats what McCall chooses to do, then they need to do it)

At Doncaster - ZFA was always within 15 yards of Hammy - only on a few rare occasions did he go forward, which i thought was a shame because i think he would've defo had the legs on Paul Quinn

Newcastle - we gave away possession cheaply twice and we were punished twice, we cant afford to do that tonight

At Morecambe - I cant remember!! :cheers::yahoo::drinks:

Whatever the team may be, get behind them, sing with Bois and lets try to make it a night not to forget

This is my fear, we need to be on top of our game and not give away any stupid early goals or the tie could be over before there’s even half an hour gone. This won't happen of course, as it will hopefully be KK making all the unforced errors. thumbup.gif

I know this question has probably been asked already, but does anyone know where I'll get a decent stream of tonight's game?

This link was posted on the other thread...

TV-translation will be on russian regional channel 9tv - http://9tv.ru/news/item/40340 - it can watch also on russian satellite TV and that's why possible in the web will be translation too (translation will be also in the main Krasnodar city square)

However the link could end up being anything from Kuban folk dancing to Russian porn. popcorm1.gifwhistling.gif
