How much experience do our guys have of playing on astro? Do we train on it a lot? Worried with our form, and the surface this is fast turning into a potential banana skin!

Settle, we've not been that bad. While we've been shite against the better teams in the league we've still taken 21 points from a possible 21 from the teams that occupy the bottom six. As long as we have the right attitude, and considering McCall's near flawless record against lower league sides(Ibrox shambles aside) in his time at Fir Park I've no reason to think we won't, we will win this comfortably plastic pitch or not.

I seen the Deveronvale game and even a team of..

Nielsen

Kerr

Hutchinson©

Cummins

ZFA

Ainsworth

Carswell

Lawson

Vigurs

McHugh

Moore

Without the likes of Hollis, Lasley, McManus, Hammell, Sutton, Anier & Faddy would still have far too much for Rovers IMHO.

Aye, it's always a shame when the Chairman goes for the money rather than an increased chance of winning the tie. Unfortunately, the economics of the game these days mean it's almost inevitable.

wonder what if any increased revenue makes that decision?

sounds like we've accepted 3000 tickets,

so Cliftonhill it would have been a sell out 1200 @ £15? around £18000

new Douglas park, what around 3500? at max £15? more likely average around £11-12, £42000

wonder what it costs to hire a stadium and host a match with the bigger crowd and unknown facilities....

then they get to split profit, after charges, with us

maybe £5-6k per club?

maybe get some hospitality profits, but as rough as calculation as it is, shows where the game is for many clubs on a financial edge

lets hope more than 2666.67 turn up :whistling:

While we're not financial heavyweights, Albion Rovers operate on a hand to mouth basis. They had about a grand in their account at the end of the last financial year - an increase of £5k would be massive for them.

Statement from Rovers about the switch to Hamilton and, gasp :O, details for a replay should it be required...

The William Hill Scottish Cup 4th Round tie with Motherwell will be played at New Douglas Park Hamilton on Saturday 30th November 2013, kick-off time 3.00pm.

Entry will be pay at the gate with prices as follows:

Adult: £12

Concessions: £7 (over 65s; Under 16s, plus Unemployed and Students on show of the appropriate proof.

The match has been moved to New Douglas Park as remedial work on the Club's Café Bar and Disabled Toilet facilities, damaged in the recent fire-raising incident, will not be completed in time to enable the match to be played at Cliftonhill.

Both Clubs look forward to their first competitive meeting for 26 years.

In the event of a replay the match will take place at Fir park, Motherwell on Tuesday 10th December 2013, kick off 7.45pm.

We would also like to thank Hamilton Academical for their assistance and willingness to host this match.

Chief Executive

Pretty sure it's 4G Astro

It was just laid in the summer so i'm guessing it'll be pretty advanced stuff. Not sure what G we are at now, if its 4 or 5 or 50 etc.

Here's a question, if Accies get promoted this season, do they have to rip it up and put it back to grass or have the rules all changed with SPFL etc?

I don't actually know but I'd assume there would have to be a consistent rule for all SPFL clubs and since we are all playing under one body now they could keep the pitch as it is.

However this is Scottish football we are talking about...
