I would prefer him not to head across the World for these ludicrous friendlies with such a shambolic, rudderless squad.  He would benefit, both himself and the Club,  with the summer off for a change.

Not ideal, but better this than playing during an international break and getting injured before an important league game.

Always delighted when one of our players gets international recognition. We have had plenty in the past who have deserved it and yet somehow missed out, so it would be churlish not to be pleased for the lad. Hopefully he does well, gets a cap or two and adds a couple of hundred grand to his value.

Is it not 13th July for Scottish Cup winners? He'll need a rest after the celebrations too.

Cup winners go into the 2nd qualifying round. So that's 26th July and 2nd August.

Allan Campbell just posted some pictures on Twitter showing him in training with Scotland - love the C&A ribbons in the corner of his pics.

Top guy!

edit Motherwell Twitter posted the pics

I was sad to find out that wee Alan isn’t actually a Motherwell fan........so says a mum of one of our U20 players.

As long as he (or any employee) does the job for us and keeps professional, I'm fine with it

I hear Davie Cooper wasn't a Well fan either.

Or Tommy Coyne.

Lasley, Hammell, were they 'Well fans, are they now?  Was Campbell, is he now?

Like Hammell said on the recent podcast. He tells all the youngsters at the academy, and their parents, "Even if you aren't Motherwell fans now, you will be by the time you leave."

Scottish football just isn't going to progress as the same mistakes and methods keep being played out.

Cataclysmic change, and thats what we require, must start at the top but recently Ian Maxwell announced that he doesn't see any benefit in the SFA and SPFL merging.  That tells me that we'll keep on making the same mistakes for years to come.
