Obviously he's difficult to manage!

Booted out of Ibrox, frozen out by Malpas, banished to the other side of the world by Villa all for the same reason.

What a load of nonsense he wasn’t booted out of Ibrox , Malpass signed him (only good thing he done) but he was out for ages with glandular fever ,he didn’t really make his mark till MCGhee took over . And banished to Australia is just more nonsense . If your going to make accusations...get yer facts right .

Really?

Do teams usually let their best teenage prospect leave? Did he actually have glandular fever? Was he genuinely unable to climb over a four foot wall to get to training with Villa!

It's well known he likes to party.

Why do you say that, is there a history between them or are you assuming McCormack is difficult to manage ?

He’s not exactly covered himself in glory in recent years and Robinson is all about ‘characters’ and good professionals.

Having said that, I admire him hugely as a player - one of the most gifted footballers I’ve seen play for Motherwell - and I enjoyed watching him do so well with Leeds and Cardiff. Would be amazing to see him back at Fir Park if he’s fit.

More pish, he was surplus to requirements at Ibrox, remember that was the era they were signing all those players on dodgy contracts. Yes he did have glandular fever it was well documented at the time

Part of arguably our best front 3 in McGhees 1st season, and has proved himself on bigger stages since then.  Even if it’s only loan until end of the season, he’d give us punch and creativity up front we’ve been lacking in Tanners absence and misfiring others.   Few folk on Twitter and here confirming he was at the game today.

Fingers crossed...

On the ‘smart’ agent point... Whilst, I think it’s incredibly naive to suggest coin is the main factor. Modern players look to develop too if the focus is there. Turnbull has that in abundance. Fanciful notion and a tug on the heartstrings of many “play first team for another year to develop”. Crock of shit. Scottish football is fucking chronic & development is an afterthought to survival. Even at the big two. Flourish at Under 23’s, better facilities, coaching - it’s a different world. More power to him seeing that

That didn’t work out for Robbie Leitch - a player I thought would go on to better things.

He lasted 1 year at Burnley before ending up in Croatia via StMirren & Queens Park.

McCormack might be getting on and a difficult player but I'll take him over Wayne Grafter from Glipton Grasshoppers.

Yes he won't be the same player who was here before but he has the guile to make chances for others.Big question is who partners him up front or do we bin Danny & Curtis and bring in another fresh face ?

Wouldn’t bin Danny quite yet has proved he can contribute well to the team when given the opportunity but I’d rather see us get rid of main and Sammon as well as bowman. Bring in McCormack and another striker, leaving us with 2+ Danny and James Scott.

You never know, we might start playing a 4-3-3.

Who knows what’s driving this McCormack move but presumably the deal is just about done for us to go public and therefore not risk alerting the likes of Aberdeen and Killie to Ross’ availability.

Hopefully it’s all signed and sealed as a trip to NDP isn’t exactly the easiest way to sell a return to Scottish football.

Won’t work like that for everyone, granted. Temperament is key.

I have been looking for any confirmation on McCormack signing and found that he was sent back to Villa to see a specialist for a knee injury, expected to be out for 4 to 5 weeks. On top of that Mariners say they were expecting him back for the new year game against Perth Glory.

McCormack back to Villa.

I haven't found anything so far to suggest that his loan to Mariners has been cancelled unless of course that can't be done until the 1st January.

In fact, the  Mariners  have him down in their squad as being unavailable for the Perth game due to the knee injury.

Mariners Squad News

My main worry now are we taking on a player with an injury that could inhibit his performances\appearances for us. Especially with the injuries we currently have.
