It was re-tweeted either by Flow or the club's Twitter account a month or two back. It's a Testimonial for one of their players.

There was a wee bit of mutual appreciation of another following the Challenge Cup game last season so it may the invitation has come on the back of that.

Anyone any idea of the kick-off time? Also hear that there is a big walk on in Belfast that day, so ferry prices might be a bit steep?

It's an afternoon kick off. The contentious Whiterock parade is held in the evening. Not sure how the ferry prices may be a bit steep?

From the Darlington FC website. They seem pretty sure about this one ...

Darlington FC would like to announce our pre-season friendly schedule.

We begin our pre season programme on Sunday 8th July with a home game against Scottish Premier League side Motherwell, who have promised to send their first team squad, which will include former Darlo players Curtis Main and Ryan Bowman. Motherwell reached the Scottish Cup final last season,  but lost to Celtic. The kick off will be 2.00pm.

Pre-season programme announced

Motherwell will play three public matches as part of their pre-season preparations for the 2018/19 campaign.

Stephen Robinson’s side will start with a trip to face Crusaders in Belfast on 30 June.

The team will travel to take part in the testimonial for Jordan Owens. The 28-year-old striker has been with the club for the last 10 years and is also their leading all-time goal scorer.

Kick off against the team taking part in this year’s UEFA Champions League qualifiers is at 1pm at the Seaview ground.

The team will then be back on their travels with a trip to face Darlington on Sunday, 8 July.

Ryan Bowman and Curtis Main will come up against their former side, who ply their trade in the National League. Kick off at Blackwell Meadows is at 1pm.

A final match with Dunfermline Athletic will then follow on Thursday, 12 July at East End Park with a 7.30pm kick off. Tickets will be available on the gate priced at £10 for adults and £5 for concessions.

A visit to face Morton will also take place on 4 July but the game is likely to be played behind closed doors. Confirmation will follow shortly.

We are then in competitive action at home to Edinburgh City on Tuesday, 17 July in the Betfred Cup group stage.
