Toxteth O'Grady

Scottish Cup 4th Round Motherwell v Ross County Sat 19th January (H)

That looks like a straight up 4-4-2 (assuming frear isn’t at WB) surprised to see Tait in there after his injury.

Love the look of that team. County defence could be in for a torrid time with Ariyibi & Frear wide, Rossco & DJ up top and Turnbull feeding them

A very attacking side but a little light defensively. A lot will fall on McHugh's shoulders as the only defensive midfielder. We need to keep the ball on the deck as neither MacCormack nor Johnson are the tallest. Still that team has pace.

That looks 5-3-2 to me, with Frear at LWB.

Who's your midfield three then? If he sets up 352 with that personnel then it should be an automatic sacking offence..

Turnbull, McHugh and the new guy.

Nothing like jumping to a preconceived conclusion lol

Boly is a rm/rw not a cm. So McHugh Turnbull in the middle with frearand boly out wide, McCormack and dj up top

I Hope you're right and Dunne is at LB, but remember who's picking the team :-) All I said was it had a look of 5-3-2 to me, but hopefully it isn't.

Right now the MFC TV site is saying "Live video for users outside of the UK/Ireland, live commentary for all users."  for the Ross County game, so we might be in luck after all.

Did you get in? I'm seeing "no playable sources found" even though the game is listed

All a bit scrappy so far. I'd like to see us settle down and move the ball on the ground a lot more

Pretty much what I expected after a long break. Imagine it will take us the first half to get up to speed.

Still scrappy, but came back into the second part of the half.  Still looking rusty. Need to shake that off the second half.

Established that, so far, Ariyibi unable to take a corner from either side.

He's done more than the new guy. And, if you believe Cadden (and why not) Frear has been working on other tricks the past few months.

It's ok. Robinson says we're building the team round him (based on one good game against Accies I think).

Not able to make the game today but no real surprises so far.  According to the BBC only one shot on target so far, but not for us.  What is the formation?  To me, it looks a strange formation up front.  Hopefully we'll shake off ring rustiness in the second half.

Playing Turnbull in a DM position is a total waste of his ability.

McCormack looks about the same weight as Kris Boyd despite being 6 inches shorter.

Ross County edged the first half for me.

This was never going to be a walkover but we should be looking to exert ourselves a bit more over a Championship team at home surely?

Surely a lot of that is down to the midfield?

Classic Main miss before the classic Motherwell lapse in defence.
