Just been down to collect tickets for Accies game  . On sale till 3pm today then office shuts till 3rd jan . Was told remaining tickets will go back to accies  later today and there WILL BE a PATG . So yeah it’ll be the usual shambles at the gates  again !!!!!!!

SURELY they will have separate turnstiles for those with tickets and those paying at the gate? This caused chaos the last time I was there :(

Stewards aren't great but probably about half the support turns up with 5 - 10 minutes to kick off.

Last time I was there we turned up 45 mins early. Stewards were still giving out duff information and mishandling the queues.

Last time I was there we arrived in plenty of time and when we showed our tickets to a steward he instructed us to disregard seat numbers and sit anywhere. Other fans were told to stick to allocated seats. A recipe for chaos and trouble.

Well apparently there are going to be pay gates at the Hamilton which means it will probably be the same again.  Neither pay in fans or stewards can have an encyclopedic knowledge of who is sitting in what seat.

Confusion could easily be solved by printing tickets without a seat number.  Why they don't do that you'll have to ask someone else but it's not the stewards fault.  Under those circumstances they have an impossible job.

Not really. All they have to do is to instruct fans to sit in their correct seats and enforce it. No exceptions. It isn't difficult.

They had separate queues the last time I was there. The problem was that the vast majority of people had bought tickets so were standing in massive queues whereas those paying at the gate joined a very short queue to the obvious consternation of ticket buyers.

Anybody know a good place to park near to the ground? Taking Father in Law who struggles to walk a big distance.

You can usually park in the underground car park at Morrisons( easier if your father in law has a blue badge)

Takes you straight out to the turnstiles

So if a pay in fan comes in and asks where to sit.  Do you tell them to wait until every person with a ticket is in the stadium and in their correct seat?

Aye this was the issue. One side for tickets. the other side for PATG. PATG was fucking empty and they still made everyone go in the other side. The odd PATG fan stoated up and walked in while loads of us queued for 20 mins.

Just to add, for ticketed seats and such. Just sit anywhere. Only place 'Well fans really need to adhere to that is Hampden on occassions.

Herein lies  the problem really. Some people relaxed with just sitting anywhere and others, a lot of them, who rightly want their seat if it's on the ticket. Especially a proble if it's a busy stand  someone is in your seat and the only ones left are either shite/beside a drum/in the middle of people standing if you like to sit/in the middle of people sitting if you like to stand etc.

Should either be fully enforced by stewards, or fully ignored and everyone clearly told they can sit anywhere. It can't be that difficult. It's only difficult when stewards tell different things and some of our own support turn into mentalists about seats on the day!

Seems to be same setup according to the Accies news story on Twitter.
