Do we play 5 at the back with Gallagher and O’Hara and Mugabi either side of him in the middle?
underboyleheating 1,412 Report post Posted January 16 We need to remember that like last season this season could finish at anytime and whoever is bottom at that time will be relegated. The bar was set when Hearts were sent down. Going into the latter part of the season the quicker we get ourselves off the bottom the better.

Fortunately for us, the league would be called on points won per game, so if it were to happen right now we would be above both accuse and county. unfortunately, when we lose tomorrow, we drop below them. So no pressure lads.
Kmcalpin 1,039 Report post Posted January 16 I doubt the league would be called so early. 5 games to go..yes, 17 to go...no. A point tomorrow or better still 3 is long overdue. No red cards please but thats not entirely within our control.
mfc 237 Report post Posted January 16 Let's get right fucking in about them,I'm sick seeing us go down without a whimper against this mob.
fizoxy 518 Report post Posted January 16 I'm looking forward to getting a glimpse at how Alexander is going to have us play, but I don't have any expectations for a decent result. So far none of the approaches from the other teams in our league have worked, maybe Alexander knows something they dont. I'd prefer us to have a go at them, but that can often end up backfiring with us conceding an early goal. The best i can hope for is that we get in their faces more and take our chance when it comes. Not going to bother predicting a score. Gallagher to get a red card so he doesn't have to play the next game.

Lan_Lad 20 Report post Posted January 17 The new manager can't be judged on this if it all goes pear shaped. In Scottish terms they're a very strong side indeed and in fact in Europa league terms too. Two seasons in a row they have qualified for the knockout stages and this season topped their group. That's how big a challenge this is. We can hope for the best but be prepared for the worst.

middleeastdave 69 Report post Posted January 17 No O’Hara today not looking too good, at least Seedorf cannot be any worse than Hastie....or could he!!

wellsince75 66 Report post Posted January 17 I get the point of working to a set formation . Keep hearing people say 'Well have a strong squad and should be able to get up the table. Our team sheet and subs confirms we'e in the brownest of the brown stuff.

mfc88 71 Report post Posted January 17 I really hope we can take something from today to give us something to build on going up to Aberdeen and dingwall. Not feeling optimistic though. Hope I'm proved wrong. COYW
AllyMax 202 Report post Posted January 17 Grimmy & O'Hara both completely out of the squad. Any injury stories ??
Kmcalpin 1,039 Report post Posted January 17 So, Long is still out and MacIver has returned. I don't think we'll miss O'Hara, at least not in midfield.Midfield looks a bit powder puff and lightweight. Still, players have the chance to impress.
C&A not the shop 58 Report post Posted January 17 I suppose he wants pace as part of the front three, Hastie isn't available and Lawless is just in the door. Need some big performances today, let's see what happens.
