I can handle the poor calls except for the penalty retake. That was completely ridiculous. Even if his back foot was off the line (which it does not seem to be) that is way too close for the linesman to call while determining when the ball started to move. My only explanation is that the linesman does not know the rules. Sees his front foot well off the line ahead of the ball moving and calls it based on that.

The bawbag clearly saw it in the Man U game at the weekend and decided he wanted to give one.

Just seen the Celtic penalty incident, Madden thinks its acceptable for a Livi player to have his head taken off his shoulders by Hart  but no penalty given, then up the Livi end the keeper has the ball in his hands, Kyogo pushes the Livi defender who then slaps the back of his head, he falls to the ground holding his face and a pen is given and the defender is red carded.

Also, Brophy tried his trick again today for St Mirren against Dundee  around the 50th min but no pen.

Surprisingly no. I'm sure he'll be having flashbacks from Wednesday night wishing he could reuse that lifeline today lol. In all seriousness it just goes to show he is a rotten official, but I'm sure he'll be listed for a top tier game next week despite this weeks performances.

Boabby denies Livi a stonewaller late in the Celtic game today and gives them a 90th minute pen but it was saved lol.

No re take?

Just watched a replay of the Celtic pen and it does show goalie had both feet off line. No retake.....who's the ref??? The one and only Boaby Madden. You couldn't make this shit up...

To be fair, the more important question is who the linesman was. He should be the one to make that call.

That’s Livi taken four points out of six against Celtic this season. Amazing, when you consider the difference in budgets, eh? :whistling:

Yes it certainly is, given the difference in budget.. Celtic's 244pts total over the last 3 Spfl seasons to Livis 118 is where the budget difference really shows however.

Watch the highlights, that Bawbag madden is staring  right at the keeper, who clearly has 2 feet over the line before the ball is hit, no need for input from the lino for that one, pen saved and no retake it's a feckin disgrace.

Absofuckinlutely. Madden has no say in the re-take of the penalty, it is all down to the linesman.

The Old Firm levels of paranoia about him ordering retakes and not ordering one today is nonsensical.

Must be one of the few occasions I'm not actually that annoyed about the refereeing decisions as the collapse in the late second half totally merited us getting horsed never mind a draw.

Our defence at the end of the day allows continuous St Mirren presence in our box and that is the source of my anger from the game. Aye I'm pissed off about the ref but more so about our approach to the game and performance.

Correct it’s the linesman’s call. In midweek the linesman guessed there is no way he saw both Kelly’s feet of the line.

These arseholes need to get themselves up to speed Goalkeepers now practice springing forward off one foot  while keeping the hell of the other on the line.

Madden started it with the shocking penalty decision but the retake is all on the linesman,he has one job to do in that situation to make sure the keeper stays on his line, which isn't hard and he failed miserably.i bet we could go the rest of the season and not see another retaking penalty,it was a fucking joke of a decision.

Its Madden's call end of. The linesman can only advise, and in this case he may have done. However the referee can choose to overrule his linesman and many do so. The linesman cannot overrule his referee.

Why would he ever choose to overrule the guy who’s one job it is to stare at the keeper’s feet and see if he comes off his line early?

You may well be right that Madden might have the option to overrule the linesman, but blaming him for a bad call is just nonsensical when he is going to go by what the linesman says 100 times out of 100.

Where referees are concerned anything goes. Its not unknown for a referee to tell his linesmen before kick off that he won't truck any advice......stick to shies, by kicks, corners and offsides.
