Does anyone know definitively if the draw for the second qualifying round is regionalised? And if so, which countries are in our region?

Looking on the kassies site for this years ECL draws Q1,Q2 and Q3 the teams were put into 8 or 9 regional groups first then the individual games were drawn, so I assume it will be the same next season. We would likely be grouped with the Scandanavian, Irish , Welsh, Faroese, Icelandic and baltic teams.

Our draw is on Wednesday isn’t it?

Yes 15th June, think the teams are drawn into the regionalised groups first, then the individual matches are drawn we are seeded for Q2 only.

Do they do the region grouping on the Tuesday and then draw the games on the Wednesday? I think I remember that from last time we were in Europe.

I tried to work out what our regional group would look like but it's a nightmare. Can find 5 teams from Ireland, Wales, Iceland and the Faroes on the unseeded side easily enough but it's hard to get seeds to match them up with.

Maybe:

Seeds:

Us, molde (norway), KuPS Kuopio (Fin), Brøndby (Denmark), Aalkmar (ned)

Unseeded:

Bala (wales), St patricks (Ire), torshavn (both teams) (faroes), crusaders (nor ire)

Could be miles off though, there's a few good scandi sides on the unseeded side that I'd rather we avoided.

I could be wrong, but last time did they not announce the groups a couple of hours or so before the actual draw?

Seeded teams in bold

How the draw worked

• The 60 teams were divided into six groups of ten teams (groups 1 to 6) in accordance with the club coefficient rankings established at the beginning of the season. Within each of the six groups, the teams were divided into an equal number of seeded and unseeded teams.

Two bowls were prepared, one for the seeded teams (five balls containing slips numbered 1 to 5) and the other for the unseeded teams (five balls containing slips numbered 6 to 10).

• A ball was taken from each bowl and placed in an empty bowl, where they were shuffled. One of the two balls was drawn at random, then opened to display the number it contains. The second ball was drawn and opened to complete the pairing.

• The result applied to all six groups. For example, if the first ball drawn contained the number 2 and the second the number 8, the clubs that had been assigned the numbers 2 and 8 in each of the six groups would play each other. The first ball drawn, in this example the number 2, designated the home team for the first leg in all six ties.

• The same procedure was carried out with the remaining balls to complete the pairings.

That’s just about understandable after reading it twice:).
I also don’t see anything about it being regions unless that’s done when they put them into groups of 10.

Winner of tie 9 would be the preferred draw, then winner of tie 7.

Could be a tough game playing Swedish, Polish or Bosnian opposition though.

First time poster (on this forum), but longtime lurker! :hi:

According to the UEFA website, the draw at noon today is to be streamed live, but does anybody know where?

Presumably just via that link you posted. I'm guessing the draw will appear there

It looks like the video player has just appeared on the page I originally posted.

A decent enough draw and if we're professional about it we should stand a real chance of progressing, hopefully we price it right and get a good crowd in for the home game.

Can't argue with that draw, easy to get to and a very good chance to get to Q3.

Best draw we could have gotten from a playing sense. Minimal travel for the players, British style of play so no surprises, home leg first and and with the proper preparation one we should win. Plus an easier away trip for the fans than the likes of Bosnia. Hopefully a great turnout.

The fans can get the more glamorous away trips in the third and play off rounds. If we are lucky the third round could even be against a team lower seeded than us, if there are are a few surprises in the second round. Fingers crossed.

Will the pitch be ready for the 21st July?

I am sure that when the work started AB said that the Euro fixture dates had been considered and barring any problems the pitch would be ready in time for them
