And if so, which countries are in our region? Looking on the kassies site for this years ECL draws Q1,Q2 and Q3 the teams were put into 8 or 9 regional groups first then the individual games were drawn, so I assume it will be the same next season. We would likely be grouped with the Scandanavian, Irish , Welsh, Faroese, Icelandic and baltic teams.

C&A not the shop 116 Report post Posted June 12 Do they do the region grouping on the Tuesday and then draw the games on the Wednesday? I think I remember that from last time we were in Europe. I tried to work out what our regional group would look like but it's a nightmare. Can find 5 teams from Ireland, Wales, Iceland and the Faroes on the unseeded side easily enough but it's hard to get seeds to match them up with. Maybe: Seeds: Us, molde (norway), KuPS Kuopio (Fin), Brøndby (Denmark), Aalkmar (ned) Unseeded: Bala (wales), St patricks (Ire), torshavn (both teams) (faroes), crusaders (nor ire) Could be miles off though, there's a few good scandi sides on the unseeded side that I'd rather we avoided. Within each of the six groups, the teams were divided into an equal number of seeded and unseeded teams. Two bowls were prepared, one for the seeded teams (five balls containing slips numbered 1 to 5) and the other for the unseeded teams (five balls containing slips numbered 6 to 10). • A ball was taken from each bowl and placed in an empty bowl, where they were shuffled. One of the two balls was drawn at random, then opened to display the number it contains. The second ball was drawn and opened to complete the pairing. • The result applied to all six groups. For example, if the first ball drawn contained the number 2 and the second the number 8, the clubs that had been assigned the numbers 2 and 8 in each of the six groups would play each other. The first ball drawn, in this example the number 2, designated the home team for the first leg in all six ties. • The same procedure was carried out with the remaining balls to complete the pairings. Stuwell2 70 Report post Posted June 14 That’s just about understandable after reading it twice:). I also don’t see anything about it being regions unless that’s done when they put them into groups of 10.

Could be a tough game playing Swedish, Polish or Bosnian opposition though.

dennyc 377 Report post Posted June 15 Best draw we could have gotten from a playing sense. Minimal travel for the players, British style of play so no surprises, home leg first and and with the proper preparation one we should win. Plus an easier away trip for the fans than the likes of Bosnia. Hopefully a great turnout. The fans can get the more glamorous away trips in the third and play off rounds. If we are lucky the third round could even be against a team lower seeded than us, if there are are a few surprises in the second round. Fingers crossed.
