I see we have a game this afternoon with Austrian 3rd division side SK Vorwarts Steyr, KO at 15:30, will  be interesting to see what team GA starts with.

Take it this was behind closed doors? Not heard much about it other than this and the post below that says we won 5-1?

Anyone else notice KVV wi the captains armband,no sure if SOD was playing as mcginn mcginn set up one for KVV from right back area

Not seen the team but KVV being captain would suggest that Kelly was also not playing.

Maybe the players that were late back for pre season due to international duty SOD, Kelly and Tierney were not considered

Why would it be a bad idea?

For example, he continually gets booked for talking back to referees, so perhaps being captain will either:

a) make him think before he speaks, and/or
b) give him more freedom to talk to refs before they consider his continual backchat a bookable offence.

Just a thought.

Doubt ‘a’ will happen and fear that ‘b’ would see him thinking he can say more than he should.
Also seem to think that he got booked more for doing stupid things rather than saying stupid things, so his bookings might go up.

There's very little you can take from friendlies. They are boring and pedestrian.
One thing you can take however is that we desperately need another striker that doesn't just play across the front 3, but is actually a striker. And we're still powderpuff in midfield.
