All i know is that he played for motherwell for a number of years, as well as hibs and got a transfer for the princely sum of 14,000 pounds to the USA! Turns out he's been doing some work with my old man, so wondered if anyone could provide any more information / memorable info about him? I was visiting my uncle in Law Hospital and Willie Hunter was in the same ward with a broken leg. Even that long ago I remember him as a really nice guy. Quinn, St John, Hunter : what a trio! real dosser Posted May 29, 2009 Report Share Posted May 29, 2009 Probably one of the best inside forwards ( midfielders to you young pups ) to ever grace the Claret & Amber. Not the biggest guy in the world but more than made up for his lack of stature with an abundance of ability. I still consider it a priviledge to have seen first hand the Ancell Babes. That was the team when I started following the Dossers and was undoubtedly the best team ever to don the Claret & Amber.
