London Irish Posted July 16, 2009 Report Share Posted July 16, 2009 Not a great game but I thought we did enough for the draw, although the penalty miss affected us badly. 1-0 is not terrible but their goalie looks solid under crosses and high balls. steelboy Posted July 16, 2009 Report Share Posted July 16, 2009 can't see why some people are being so negative. we played ok and dominated most of the game, we just lacked a cutting edge. we should be capable of getting through next week. i also don't understand the problem with hammell's distribution. he hit's a lot of long balls but that's part of the game, the problem is we don't have anyone capable of winning them just now. Think we well capable of taking them but they did look dangerous on a few occasions. I hope we get a similar start to what we got against the Welsh but reckon it is going to be nip and tuck. I was wondering that too , I've always advocated corners as an opportunity to get the ball in the box and get right on top of the defenders, I noticed Fraser tends to roll the ball out from goal more often than he kicks it out .
