Motherwell Fantasy Kits

Every macron kit I or my kids have had has had issues with the sponsors logo and little macron motif on the shoulder peeling off.

All washing instructions followed. Recently a crystal palace supporting mate (also macron) had a moan about the same thing and asking if I had the same trouble.

Otherwise, I really like the macron gear

All by the by, unless they manage to get the club badge right, (125th, current away strip) not a penny will be parted from my hippy.

Excuse my ignorance, what's wrong with the badge?

The club badge used on recent kits has looked pretty cheaply done. I no longer buy kits (except for the odd retro number) however, I have not been too impressed with the quality of the production of the badge on our recent tops. The MFC stitching on this seasons sash home shirt is fine, however, the club badge on the striped away looks cheap.

Are we keeping macron?

Yes I am sure Macron are staying put for the time being.

The Castle Water logo would look not too bad on the claret hoop (anything has to be better than Cash Convertors). However, apart from them I am not sure who else would be interested in sponsoring us apart from betting and payday loan companies. :(

125th strip the writing round the badge was upside down and not considered adequately .... and not noticed on the proofs

Current away strip as ubh confirms looks cheap but he outside scroll is completely wrong.

Current training gear, have a look next time you're near the shop, elongated/stretched badges, ironed on adhesive, glitches in the process resulting in missing lines.

I doubt Arsenal, Man Utd, Sevco or Unwashed have any issues with their trademarks. Fixed and non negotiable design, not open to interpretation.

Being in exile, I'm seldom in the club shop and haven't bought any macron training gear but judging by some of the old puma training gear I have, I'm not at all surprised.

I've suspected for some time that provan sports receive the merchandise from the supplier without the Motherwell badge on them and then iron them on. Perhaps the strips are the exception and it's only my suspicion but given my 2yr olds kit had the same size badge as my adult one, it at the very least smacks of laziness.

I guess you're right about the standard of the present badges, they really can't be any worse than what was on the xara stuff. Now they were really poor, from the badges, to the material quality that made my Sunday league nipple bleeders feel simply luxurious.

In fairness (I've mentioned before in this thread) I've not had any issue with any of the Macron kits or Puma for that matter. That's with them getting outings at 5s and 7s maybe 3 or 4 times a week. The only Motherwell top I've had a problem with was the old harlequin Pony one where the felt manufacturer logo fell off after a few years.

Beyond that as far as printing goes the kits I've had issues with that have oddly almost always been Adidas. My DC United shirt started cracking after 1 wash, the print on my LA Galaxy away shirt has completely washed off and the sponsors logo on my Deportivo La Coruna top is an absolute state (though that's an iron on felt Sega logo).

I take the point about the badge but in honesty it's not something I could say I've noticed or even paid attention to until it was mentioned here.

Kit supplier will be Macron and home top with feature the claret band, not sure if it will go all the way round!

Delay in announcing design is we don't have a sponsor signed up yet.

I can see no reason apart from UEFA kit restrictions (not SPFL) as to why the band/hoop can’t go all the way around the shirt. I would have thought that Castle Water would have been a shoe in for the sponsor gig. However, as long as it’s not a betting, pay day loan company then I will be happy. Unless of course they offer us an obscene amount of money for the privilege!

Strangely, I've had no bother with the quality of either this season. Actually think they've been an upgrade on recent efforts.

This. Can only assume previous poster did not buy puma tops. As smooth as sandpaper.....

Not saying the design is that much better, but the quality of material is way better than cheap ish puma fobbed off on us. Only decent top was 125 year we wore v Leeds if I recall
