We were not sure whether to stay in Copenhagen wednesday night or head straight to Odense, got the Cabinn booked for both, reading on here it sounds like Odense is the place to be on the Wednesday night plus it's easier to get the train straight there from the airport on the cheap tickets, so see you all in there Wednesday night

Well troops the hour is nearly upon us, the only thing that can spoil it is the rain, and I can tell you its absolutely pishing down at the moment in CPH, has been all day...thunder and lightning.. its so heavy I am loosing my SKY signal...anyway...

One thing nobody has mentioned here and its something that still helps me through the days here is 'the burds'...they are absolutly stunning!!! I mean stunning. You will all see what I mean when you get here :whistling:

They will love the kilts as well.... :notworthy::thumbup:

If you are in CPH on wed night and feel like a tourist take a trip into Tivoli (95DKK to get in) there will be live bands in the evening, there are bars and food places everywhere and its where all the burds go to strut their stuff - thats if its no raining of course, otherwise stay in the pubs. The irish bars in the town are ok, The Globe, Dubliners are both football friendly places with decent beer and food.

Take a canal trip during the day, best way to see the city in a oner..

one word of caution to you all - Denmark is a bike friendly country, you will see what I mean when you get here but be really really carefull when you walk off the pavements as the bikers will run you down without a qualm, they see the bike ways as their domain, and not pedestrians, if you do get wiped out the polis will have no sympathy for you either.

See you all in Ryans on Thursday, may see some of you on Wed as well in CPH somewhere...

Safe journey to all travelling, and enjoy the adventure no matter how you get there.

My journey starts Tuesday straight after breakfast, as I venture south from Skaville in search of CB civilisation. Probably stop at the Port-na-Craig in Pitlochry for a riverside lunch then onto the Club Shop for a wee nosey.

Sleepless night at the auld dear's no doubt and over to FP early for the trip of a lifetime.

Enjoy

:whistling:

For anyone who will be spending some time in Copenhagen, a guy at work recommended a boozer called The Moose. Sounds a bit of a dive to be honest, but it's dirt cheap - approx £1.50 - £2 a pint during happy hour :O

The Moose

Ha ha ha, would love to see a bunch of well fans crowding up the Moose! It's mostly intellectual students thinking very big thoughts (so they say) in there. The interior is a bit crummy but it's ok for a little while.

I'll recommend the small danish bars if u wanna see what the original copenhagen is all about. Look for the word "Værtshus". 1,5£ for a bottle. Later in the evening head down to town square and check out The Scotish Pub or The Old English Pub. Should be right up ur alley.

My favorite football pub is The Globe Irish Pub If I'm in I'll make sure u get favourable prizes...

Let the party begin!

a few questions to any Odense fans

where is the best place to eat? there is "Den gamle kro" in "overgade" - it's possible to get traditional danish food here : ) If youre in need of some "light" food for dinner or something "Froggy's" og "Frank A" is good alternatives. There are big differences between the "foodculture" ind DK compared with Scotland - it's a little more expensive, but you get what you pay for so don't scared

where about are the best and cheapest bars situated?

Pints costs 50 DKK almost every place, but i think ryans as some of you allready had mentioned prob. will make some offers...

anything to be careful of?

Nah not at all : ) The foreigners can be a little fucked. But dont be worried about footballtroubles or something : ) There are a lot of ppl. with SI, Paul & Shark, PS, CP and so on - but it's not synonymous with hooliganism :O

can you walk to the ground?

Sure! From Ryans it takes half an hour

the trains back to billund at 2.30am and 4.30am on friday, are they safe for women?

Yes! : )

are there any night clubs open on thursday?

Sure, if you are up for electro, house and so on, it's Retro or Frank A : ) Both nice places! If you just want some fun, and dosn't have demands to the quality of music og style you should visit Heidis or Den glade viking.

But no matter where youre going you will see ladies in another quality than you usually do. Thats my only worry about travelling to Glasgow - i've heard that the quality of ladies are the same as in England :(

are there any student bars?

Sure, but you have to be younger than 27 - it's called a bar!

Send me a PM if you need some help - i have msn if someone need some info :) I live in Cph but are travelling to Odense wed : ) and back to cph sunday where we are flying to glasgow.

Even worse mate, Glaswegian women are the ugliest on planet earth. Fortunately for you, (and us 'Well fans), Motherwell is not in Glasgow. It is in Lanarkshire where the finest examples of 20/20 swilling single mothers can be found.

Motherwell girls are a gift from the Gods. Their natural beauty, grace and elegance, and grasp of the mother tongue is renowned throughout the 'Shire.

Enjoy your trip to God's Country :O

Now travelling down to Stansted myself on Weds. 1840 train from Central - Euston in First Class of course. 0100 Easybus from Baker St to Stansted(£6 is right good). Letting the other 5 travel in the car so we can all get there, with me taking a place on the way back up as a Ghoul Patrol member is flying back home.

Cue typical London train journey drunkenness :):O

>a few questions to any Odense fans

Most answers are provided, but I will add some comments.

>where is the best place to eat?

It is not cheap to eat in DK, not like it can be in i.e. Spain. But I would recommend Restaurant Carlslund, known for the all you can eat Danish omelette menu. It is about 30 min walk from the inner city, but the walk is quite nice - just follow the small river, when you pass the zoo (the zoo is on both sides) just cintunue a bit more, then cross the river and continue into the forest. On the way back go to Carlsens Kvarter, one of the most famous places in DK for the selection of beers. It is 50kr beers but worth trying.

>where about are the best and cheapest bars situated?

Ryans offered you are good deal, else some of the bars near Ryans are 'cheap', i.e. Sir Club. At Sir Club you find pool tables and table soccer. Near the House of H.C. Andersen, the Casino and Radisson Hotel there are two smaller bars called Lørups Vinstue and Restaurant Grøntorvet (eating and drinking place) and another bar is Bar Rar in Dronningensgade.

>anything to be careful of?

Yes, the cyclist (inclusive me).

>are there any night clubs open on thursday?

City Arkaden, Australien Bar (or A Bar), Blomsten og Bien and perhaps Den Glade Viking. Thursday is the only day where the average is above 20 on A Bar.

are there any student bars? Do not fear you need to show ID that proofs you are under 27, only rumours - but expect you need to show ID (picture id, remember your passport) on all night clubs.

haha, don't trust ya :D GB is just a nightmare when it comes to women - But your pub- and footballculture compensate chiefly.

one last question for the OB odense fans.

Can my friends and i get tickets in the home end?

How do we go about it on the day of the match?

If you dosn't wear shirt or anything else that can be connected to Motherwell it's possible :whistling:

The match isn't that attractive in Odense, so it'll be feasible to get tickets to every section at the matchday infront of our main entrance.

Firstly want to see us score an away in goal in Europe, (Katowice, Dortmund, Nancy all drew a blank, and Utrecht doesn't count as that was a friendly and an OG at that).

I'd like to think we can get a decent result, a score draw perhaps. And you ?
