  1. I don't see what all the fuss was about really, inital incident was over and players were off the park, it was clear that the Caley player wasn't going to continue but the ball was still in play. Caley Defender knocks the ball out to allow the substitution, but why should we give them the ball back for them putting it out for a thrown in, deiiferent if a player on the field of play was down, but there wasn't. Big Marv had every right imo to do what he did, was funny to see the ICT players just standing around thinking he was going to knock it out for a goal kick, would loved to have seen it go in.
  2. Chalmers played Left Mid and Law was at right back, great team performance and ICT never looked like scoring, as someone else posted, easiest 1-0 win we'll get but realyy should have been more, Fletcher is going to cause some serious problems for defences if he turns in performances like that each week.
  3. Lasley was outstanding today, and i must also say that Fletcher had a good game until he came off, he made all the right moves today and will prove to be a handful, has the potential of being a great signing.
  4. Got to win the two home games i think, however this weekend's cup matches are interesting. A win for Aberdeen & Dundee Utd all but guarantee both of them European football next season, meaning 4th place might even be good enough for another crack at European football, no?
  5. Not long back from the game and to say that i'm disappointed is an understatement. Had high hopes for this tie as i didn't really rate this team regardless of spending budgets. We did the same old same old, lost to a team we were capable of beating, we gave them too much space on the ball for the first 20 mins or so and were always 2nd to every ball, I think that Sutton did okay but he had zero support at times, Impressed with Lawson & Vigurs, ZFA was too close to Hamill all of the first half. All in all, the lads put in the effort but when we started to chase the game, the result was only going to end one way, we make a habit of making teams look better that they are, and tonight we did just that, some would say that Kuban won with ease, and some will agree, but in all honesty we handed it to them on a plate. Here's hoping that they think the tie is over (and itprobaly is - however where there is hope - i believe), perhaps a quick goal in Russia next week will make for an interesting game, nothing to loose, get right in about them, i'd rather loose heavily away from home and give it a good shot, rather than sit back and play tactically.
  6. Can't wait for this game, seems like time has stood still for the last hour or so!! Anyway, also just dsicovered that a local social club in Cumbernauld will be showing the game live on the big screen tonight if anyone hasn't managed to get a ticket. I however will be there with the 2 kids cheering the lads on, on what should be a memorable night regardless of the overall outcome, the atmosphere will be electric.
  7. I seriously think that we have a chance in this game if we approach it with the right attitude. This game is MASSIVE for us as a club, and a win in this tie secures at leat Europa League Group stages no matter what happens. However it's nice to see that BBC Scotland appears to have us down as playing in the Europa League tomorrow night instead BBC Scotland Coverage
  8. I voted NO. It's a simple and easy decision and i don't really know why there is even any doubt by ANY club. Rangers broke the rules and as such are now having to deal with the consequences of their actions. Okay so the potential revenue brought in by the 'Old Firm' through TV deals is going to suffer, but so what, in a few years if they get their act together and start from the 3rd Division then they should be back in the SPL rightly through promotion and then the TV deals may be back on par with what they were. Livingston were found guilty of cheating, i know its not the same here, but a precedent has been set, they were sent to the 3rd Division, so why should Rangers get off lightly. The other issue is the players, if they are to be free agents as the players union say they are, what makes the newco think that they will stick around knowing that there will be no european football for 3 years EVEN if they were in the SPL, i can't see that happen, i can see an exodus of players leaving and anyone thats left if they were in the SPL would be a no contest as far as the 'Old Firm' games are concerned, so TV revenue would suffer anyway. If they get demoted to division 3 as a newco, then i say they have gotten off lightly, they have no SPL share at present now and no SFA License, so why should they get it to go into division 3 ahead of some of the highland league teams.
  9. I juts dropped into Fir Park as i was over that way and got my season ticket there and then along with the kids ones
  10. Well i'll be darned.....just got an e-mail to say that i have now been successful in the ballot and to call to arrange to book my tickets. Hmm, is someone from the ticket office monitoring this thread perhaps? Anyway looks like i'm sorted and i'll be there
  11. Well here's hoping that there are a lot of tickets left in those sections as i still haven't heard from anyone and there is now way i can get to Fir Park to chance my arm at the ticket office. I did however get a lovely e-mail from them on Monday offering me the hospitality package in the Davie Cooper stand at £99 a ticket, but budget doesn't run to as mach as that. Was at the last cup final and was hoping to get to this one too, but with time running out i seriously doubt i'll find a ticket now. Now off to find all those competition in the hope that i might win a pair instead
