BREAKING: MOTHERWELL AGREE DEAL TO SIGN MANDRON

 

Motherwell have agreed a deal to sign Gillingham striker Mikael Mandron on a permanent basis, sources have told FOOTBALL INSIDER.

 

The Scottish Premiership side have been in the market for a new centre-forward this month and have struck a deal for the 28-year-old.

I personally think Stephen ODonnell gets far too much criticism. Way too much. I thought he had a solid game today. I also really like Graham Alexander on so many levels. He praises his players when they deserve it. The thing that struck me today was the backing the fans gave the players. Once again, the football on show was very difficult to watch. There is no doubt that our style of football does not make for an entertaining Saturday afternoon,  even if we were getting results.  Pair the performances with the current run of results and it becomes very hard to take. However,  booing misplaced passes, booing the team off at half-time, booing them off at full-time and having a go at individual players will do nothing to build confidence on the pitch. Is it any wonder that some players hide or won't try a pass? The atmosphere at Fir Park is becoming quite toxic. Appreciate people are frustrated but the booing and abuse of our own players is out of order.

Thought we were superb today! Match was a great advert for the game in Scotland.

I've been watching the well for over 35 years and while admittedly my attendence at games hasnt been great over the last 10 years while bringing up the family. Between watching us beat Hamilton last week and today's game I've got my mojo back and have even managed to get my 11 year old daughter enjoying watching us.

Have been keeping my eye on this board without posting for years and while we are all entitled to our opinion I must say some guys are really half glass empty to put it mildly , lets all get hehind the team and hope we can build on the last couple or results........
