  1. Solid performance from O’Donnell in what was a good game and decent point for Scotland. Plenty for Declan to ponder as he sits on the bench for club and country...
  2. Excellent again today. It was evident from the first minute that we had the bit between our teeth today. Good performances all round with the likes of Lamie and Crawford impressing more and more each week while Roberts has been the catalyst to our upturn in form.
  3. So many choices today, with everyone to a man playing their part. Lamie edges it for me though, his performance level has improved significantly under Alexander and he set the tone early on today with two very clean tackles. He also deserves recognition for holding the defence together when he has an absolute novice alongside him.
  4. Outstanding from start to finish today. The response to the St Johnstone game has been excellent this week. No danger of getting relegated now.
  5. I may have been influenced by Jocks’ commentary but I thought Robbie Crawford was very tidy. I like him.
  6. A very well earned point, plenty of effort and it was evident that we’ve learned lessons from the previous two defeats. We can go to Easter Road with a degree of confidence.
  7. It probably won’t be long until we hear the bold Mo talking candidly on Sportsound.
  8. Fair play to Jordan White. He has his limitations but as he showed at Inverness and now at County, he’ll get on the end of balls into the box and score a few. Unfortunately he joined Motherwell side that has no idea how to get the ball in the box. We are right back in the mire.
  9. Whilst acknowledging the team was decimated by injury, illness and whatever else, that performance was quite something yesterday. If Alexander wasn’t just in the door, you’d be thinking the writing was on the wall. The players that don’t appear to give a shit are obviously the biggest culprits this season but what the hell were we doing in January with this glut of signings that are nowhere to be seen? It worries me that the squad is almost as bloated now during a pandemic as it was when Les was throwing money at it.
  10. Wow. Withdrawing Barry Maguire is one of the most jaw-dropping decisions I’ve seen in a while.
  11. Kelly didn’t have much to do but he has such a reassuring influence on the team. I’m really impressed with his leadership. As for Bevis, I love the guy. I missed the Celtic game so that aside, I can’t recall the last he didn’t have at least a 7/10.
  12. I couldn’t bear us relocating to Ravenscraig. Such a grim area.
  13. A very well earned three points. It might not have been pretty but we defended well, worked our balls off and came to life as an attacking threat on occasion. Follow this up with a win on Saturday and can starting thinking seriously about clinching a top 6 spot.
  14. United couldn’t handle Cole at all. Excellent. Watt and Long weren’t too bad alongside him either.
  15. That was a proper game tonight. We could easily have been out of sight but given how mundane much of this season has been, I actually enjoyed riding the nerves for the last 10/15 mins. There’s obviously a few areas that need improving but there’s so many positives to cherish tonight, from our very assured keeper to the incisive interplay of our front three. Miles better that where we were for much of 2020.
  16. Number 9 shirt making all the difference for Christopher Long. We’re playing very well here.
  17. My mind must be playing tricks. I’m sure he spent much of his time during the Dykes season out on the right, turning in on his left foot. Prior to that in his early days at Thistle, I vaguely recall him playing in front of O’Donnell.
  18. Lawless predominately plays on the right does he not? This was never going to be a transfer window to get the juices flowing. The club will have done the best they can from the limited options available. The lack of activity in England underlines how uncertain the future is. Hopefully we’ve done enough to scrape through this season then we can take stock in the summer while O’Donnell and Gallagher are earning us a good few quid at the Euros.
  19. It makes sense though on the back of wee Billy staying at Chelsea.
  20. I really enjoyed that last night. Our heads dropped after conceding a poor goal and the game could easily have drifted away from us. Credit to Alexander and the players, we sorted things out at half time and put in a very spirited, determined and savvy 2nd half performance on a poor pitch. A vital three points. The test now is to carry this into the United game. Win that and we can maybe start to look up the table.
  21. Shouts for Mugabi and Maguire but the amount of work Tony Watt puts in is incredible. He’s well on track to being our poty.
  22. Long has obviously offered little this season but unless he wants to leave, it would be extremely risky to offload our only proven goalscorer. There’s every chance he’ll prove his worth when it really matters, like Ainsworth used to do.
  23. We have four centre forwards in the frame for a start, none of whom are at their best out wide. Can we try playing 2 through the middle? Any word on Lawless injury? We are in desperate need of his wee bit of composure and quality on the ball.
  24. Kelly player well and looks like a bit of a leader, however I can’t recall him making too many saves you wouldn’t expect a competent keeper to make. I thought Campbell looked like his old self in the first half and carried the midfield in the 2nd half after Polworths’ indiscipline, motm for me.
  25. Aberdeen would be as well playing for corners the way we are defending them.
