    Martin Grehan

He came on for the last 10 in a game against St. Mirren at love street. Think we were 2 or 3 down at the time.

    Steve Jennings

Aye, he's looked composed and strong when he's come on. Likes a tackle too which is always handy. I'd like to see more of him too.
  5. I think threads like this highlight the need for long term initiatives rather than one off's, which are pretty useless in guaging the level of interest from 'fringe' fans. Reducing prices long term at the gate to see what happens is a financial gamble which may not pay off however the season ticket idea is one which seems pretty safe. I'd love to hear from someone who knows more about the finances of the club to point out any flaws it might have.

    Ticket Prices

If we want to remain in the SPL then we can't drop ticket prices. It's that simple. Milky, if you have the facts and figures to suggest otherwise then I'd love to see them. As would John Boyle I'm sure.

    St Mirren Thread

Aye, I've got disagree with that too. I reckon 4th place isny totally out the question.
  8. He didn't really see much of the ball to be honest. Looks like he's bulked up a bit since he last played though. Amazing.
  9. I'll echo pretty much everything everyone else has said. Great day, great performance. The first two goals showed we had that cutting edge we have lacked in the last wee while. Looked like the players were enjoying themselves and had been a bit of freedom to express themselves. We took a right good crowd too, I arrived just after kick off and thought I wasny goin to find a seat.

    Jim O'Brien

I think it's maybe a reflection on Browns management that O'Brien managed to get 2 goals yesterday. Twice he found himself in a position he's no usually in and got two goals for it, I get the impression Brown has a bit more faith in the players to make decisions for themselves. We mixed it up well yesterday and were clearly trying to make progress where the space opened up, regardless of where it was on the pitch.
  11. "Crusty faced clown." Didnt think McGarry had it in him.
  12. I'm not sure it's a reaction to a tough training regime at all. From what I understand McGhee was pretty tough and the same players revelled in it. Can you point me in that direction?
  13. I know most folk don't care any more but Jennings raised more questions about his management style today in the Sunday post and the news of the world. Not all bad but seems he was "difficult to talk to about football" and didn't really know when to give someone a bollocking and when to offer encouragement. Particularly with the younger players.
  14. Think you better get used to it. Personal attacks based on rumours is all the rage round here.

    Where Do You Sit?

Pretty much aye. I was just wondering whether anyone had any reasons for sitting where they do. Turns out a few people do.

    Where Do You Sit?

True. I'll keep this poll for this who go to the games regularly so that it doesn't go flying off-topic but might be worthwhile starting another yin to see how often people actually go.
  17. And why? I'm in the Cooper and sit in the same seat I've sat since my first game 14 years ago. I always wish the crowd had a bit more life there but any other view just doesn't feel right any more. I also canny tell the difference between Sutton, Murphy and Jutkiewitcz during first halves. Think I need big spectacles.
  18. I'm wondering why Gannon took the job in the first place. What illusions about the Scottish game have been shattered and left him so disheartened that he couldn't commit to the club?
  19. Got to agree with nethertonwellfan. I understand boo-ing does nothing but help disgruntled fans feel a wee bit better. I can't imagine any footballer is so delusional that they need booing from the fans to confirm that the peformance is unnaceptable. I shout nothing when we've been pish because I know that not every player needs to "get the fuckin finger out". As Gannon said today, every player is different and needs a different approach to get the best out of them. Some take a bollocking and respond to it while others need an arm round their shoulder. Booing is something that can only knock the already fragile confidence of some players.
  20. It did sound like he felt that the team was a bit of a lost cause at the moment. That part is worrying. I don't think he's on the verge of chucking it though. I was at the fans forum last week and Gannon appeared to be under no illusions of the nature of the club and the task at hand. I can't imagine that will have changed over the space of two games.
  21. Why do people insist that our next game (or games) will "shape our season"? It's a long time till May. Aye, we are on a pish run but soon there might be a few teams on even pisher runs. I'm confident we'll find periods of good form and it might just be against the right teams. We might even pick up the odd point against Rangers or Celtic. Who knows, we could lose our next two games and if results go our way still be sitting in 6th or 7th. Still too early to say.
  22. I rarely criticise our own players and never boo them but I thought Moutouakil really wasny great today. He did get on the ball a lot and we looked like we were trying to construct most of our attacks through him however I thought he struggled to find space when on the ball and looked a bit lost. He made some absolutely rank passes and seemed to struggle with the basics at times. Defending - I thought he didnt track his man for their second (I think) goal and relied heavily on other players to get him out of holes. Despite this I think he's still got the potential to do well for us however every mistake will magnified from now on as folk will be sitting waiting for it. Not long till he's a premium boo boy target....
  23. I wouldny say he sounded pissed off. Sounds like he's resigned to the fact some of the players don't have the skill to carry out the jobs he wants of them. I expect a busy transfer window.
